Lagos is not as rich as Delta and Bayelsa. If you judge it per capital, Bayelsa and Delta should be like mini Dubai.

Per capita my indeed! Per capita economics is useless in a country like ours where the government provides almost no welfare packages for citizens. Lagos is trying, just imagine the number of people trooping into that state daily, it is a sub-national entity that cannot even regulate her own borders. You have millions living in that small state without special status.

For example, when Lagos had traffic problem, what Jakande built was road. Tinubu went more to build BRT lanes. That’s different from what any other governor has done. Think outside the box.

When Lagos had issue with their finance, Jakande did not do anything spectacular to change that paper system. Tinubu digitize tax system in Lagos and revolutionize that sector. That led to him increasing IGR by over 700%.

What investment did Jakande bring to Lagos that is a cash cow in the magnitude of Eko Atlantic and lekki free trade zone for instance? Can you mention one of the biggest investment of Jakande that still earn taxes for Lagos?

When Lagos had power problem, what IPP did Baba Jakande bring to solve the problem like Tinubu Enron? Did Baba think outside the box from other UPN governors on the need to challenge NEPA monopoly? Tinubu did that.

When Lagos had ghost worker problem, what institutional reform did Baba Jakande did? Tinubu brought Oracle to cleanup the system which reduced the effect of ghost worker to the barest minimum.

Have you seen the secondary school Baba Jakande built? How is that different from the schools built by Bola Ige in Ibadan? When Tinubu came, he started building model college in 2001 which defined the current era school structure and even some states are still not able to meet up with that standard in 2023.
