Russian President Vladimir Putin said he is ready to “negotiate with everyone involved in this process about acceptable solutions” regarding the war in Ukraine, according to Russian state news agency TASS, citing Putin’s interview with state TV Sunday.

"I don't think it is so dangerous, I think we are moving in the right direction, protecting our national interests and the interests of our citizens, our people. And we simply have no other choice but to protect our citizens," Putin said. "We are ready to negotiate with everyone involved in this process about acceptable solutions, but it's up to them. It's not us who is refusing to negotiate, it's them.”

Russia’s Feb. 24 invasion of Ukraine has triggered the most deadly conflict in Europe since World War Two and the biggest confrontation between Moscow and the West since the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis.

Russia says it will fight until all its aims are achieved while Ukraine says it will not rest until every Russian soldier is ejected from all of its territories, including Crimea which Russia annexed in 2014.

It seems he is truly overrated. Many people on nairaland said putin will capture ukraine in less than one month but here we are talking about negotiation.

And many of them have never step their foot outside nigeria but will sit at home and analyse the war between the two countries like they were privy to secrets meetings about the war.

I'm not supporting anyone but killing people unnecessary is what i hate. Putin should be sane for once and end the war cos it seems he will not even win it for another 6months.

It was simply emotion - because they feel wronged by America or Europe one way or another
