🇨🇳🇺🇸The operation to neutralize the Chinese balloon involved:

- 5th generation F-22 Raptor fighters (one of them hit the balloon with an AIM-9X missile),

- F-15 fighter-bombers,

- Coast Guard helicopter MH-60,

- US Navy auxiliary ship USS Carter Hall,

- airborne early warning and control aircraft E-2A Hawkeye,

- nuclear aircraft carrier

- air command post (doomsday aircraft) E-4B Nightwatch,

- refueling aircraft KC-135 Stratotanker,
- potentially other ships and aircraft.

For several hours, airspace was closed over part of the two states, the work of three airports was suspended.

If this story of ballon was other way around, the media would have been going crazy on how USA tech was so advanced that china deployed all its military equipments to down ballon.

You will see them here on Nairaland screaming how nobody can match USA tech but since it’s Chinese ballon, they were so embarrassed that it’s was hard for it to make FP

Clown indeed says a real clown.. all precautions weee taken because the ballon may contain nuclear or bio materials which can contaminate the airspace
