Many Southern politicians will forever remain slaves, thereby enslaving us. Therefore we should be careful who we send to represent us. All those who will put the interests of the people should be put forward not the EMI LO KANs. I beg all the AGBEROS here to please think. Heavens1stson: |

Heavens1stson: Chris Ekpeyong is a big f**l. His postulation is not only childish, but also foolish. PDP is just a vehicle for expressing your political ideology. It cannot be equated with Nigeria as a country. The truth remains that Buhari is a Fulani man and Nigeria cannot afford to vote another Fulani man to succeed Buhari. It'll jeopardize the principles of equity and fairness on which modern nations are based. PDP isn't Nigeria. Nigeria isn't PDP. So, it's idiotic for someone to suggest that Nigerians should forgo the principles of equity because of what PDP leaders called rotation policy. Of course, some of these hypocritical PDP leaders like Atiku and Saraki left the party in 2013/2014 in protest that it was the turn of the North to produce Nigerian president. After supporting a Northerner to become president in 2015, some of these people are back in PDP telling us that we should support another northerner. Imagine! 1 Like |

Please don't even reason this man's opinion. He is the dumbest and dullest senator from Akwaibom. No one he gets his time over there. He is from that extraction of southern politicians who see Northerners as their lord and saviour and who determine their political trajectory. He is satisfied with the political configuration that favours the north as long as he gets his regular pot of afang soup and 404 meat washed down with palm wine. Foolish man!! |

Nigeria's current political arrangement comprised of just the north and south not sub regions buhari is from the north and has spent almost eight years in office power is now supposed to return back to the south all the parties wether pdp or apc are expected to zone their presidential party tickets to the south for equity sake and cohesion of the polity this is what obj and other patriotic founding fathers of our current democracy agreed on that's simply why obj is supporting a power shift to the south east. |

Well if you look at what he is right. I agree with him because he has spoken my mind. APC is different platform with different platform. If it was APC they will not accept the zoning method of the PDP. PDP has the right to choose where their candidate should come from. It will be unfair if PDP as a party picked somebody from the South. All what PDP want is to take try and take power from the APC by bringing ATIKU. Well, for LP I love Peter Obi so much whether he wins or not he is my man any time any day. He has really shown the South/Easterners politician that they can achieve greater things in politics without feeling intimidated by the northerners. He is source of motivation to all South/Easterners politician's. For that BOLD step alone from him. I and my HOUSE HOLD swill vote Peter Obi just for that boldness. It is left for his brothers to take advantage of this. God bless Peter Obi 1 Like |

Heavens1stson:Some will call him a saboteur while some are saying that his statement was money-induced but what he said here is the ultimate truth. The south had enjoyed 13 out of the 16 years of PDP misrule but President Buhari don too spoil show to ever trust a northerner again. He has done really well compared to all other previous regimes in the areas of infrastructural developments but he’s been a disaster in the areas of corruption fighting, prevention widespread poverty and hunger, security and Unity (Buhari is the most nepotistic politician to ever rule Nigeria) 1 Like 1 Share |

The scope and essence to "ZONING" is to instill fairness to Nigerians/Electoral not some party Democracy is for the people and just about the people, what is Fair to the People should be the priority and not what is fair to the party. Zoning stipulate power shift on the concept of last region to occupy the presidency i.e on a national scale, bringing in party scale is just immaterial. with or without Party form of zoning, the Real zoning will still enforce Power rotation btw North and south, so Atiku and members supporting him are just being mischievous |

Felimax:I’m a critic of Buhari and I’m not with either side but truth be told, Buhari has done better in terms of Infrastructural development and like I said earlier, he’s failed woefully in other areas and that doesn’t mean that PDP regimes were any better. During the days of Jonathan, Boko Haram were already bombing the FCT (Yanyan), widespread corruption was the order of the day and it is still the same today but at least they (Buhari) are pretending to be fighting it today. The only sharp contrast between the two regimes is the hardship that this present administration has subjected the masses to. Things were not as hard as it is today. 1 Like |

Nonsense politicians with a very nonsense claim. Nigeria became an independent country in 1960. Since then, aside from the brief tenure of Aguiyi Ironsi, brief tenure of Azikikwe as President, three years of Obasanjo’s military leadership, the north has ruled more, up till date. I wonder why they always use the word “this democratic dispensation”, when they talk about tenures. Why do they deliberately fail to tell us that Nigeria became a country in 1960? Why do they overlook Shagari’s period? Our politicians have brought this country to its knees with tribalism, religion and nepotism. They fired the desire of the tribes to clamour for separation with such comments as this Senator Ekpeyong’s. The sole reason why they struggle for political power is to line their pockets with money from the common purse. If religion, corruption, eye service and tribalism are set aside, Nigeria should be a very great nation. These are the major challenges that we face. Under we begin to build infrastructures all over the country, irrespective of tribe, religion, etc, this country will remain at its present position. |
