This is ridiculous and spells the end of Nigeria. Fleeing terrorists with $255,000 in cash!? How much more are the Boko Harams and the ESNs worth? $5m!? How did they manage to access such funds? Where did they get it from? Who are they dealing with? How many criminal elements are embedded in the so-called Bureau de Change that are sometimes financed by the banks and the CBN?

This is disaster! Nigeria to end pretty soon.

We cannot draw logical conclusions about the utility of checkpoints from one incident
Checkpoints can be a useful tool if you have well trained professional s
Let us not forget that kidnappers too mount fake checkpoints too.
In 2023 we need more technology like drones coordinating with patrols
One must question, how it is that all of them escaped but they recovered guns and money

I am not opposed to checkpoints where proven to be effective . If necessary they should be deployed but they must not be tollgates and kill innocent people. They must be supported by 2023 technology :intelligence. patrols and drones.
This story is not evidence for or against checkpoints as you seem to assert. It needs analyss.I wonder how no one was arrested or shot . Did they fire bullets ? How many?
Were they carrying radio?.Did they have backup on audio? How do they communicate with base?

I remember the murdered pregnant woman and ask how come they escaped without bullets fired?if that is the story
