You misunderstood me. The officer should be held liable not the police force.

Whatever goes up will surely come down. Nigerian police think bullet is like price of commodities that goes up and won't come down.

One of the reasons Nigeria is no longer for me. I left for good, came here with a tin full of my village soil, spread it in my backyard and walk barefooted on it ftom time to time. Each day you wake up alive, go about your daily lawful business and return home alive, miracles have happened. Nigeria is both an organised chaos and a zoo.

Actually I also thought so . That a bullet fired into the air should not be lethal ….until I noticed a significant dent on top of my car with the appearance of a bullet hole . I googled to check and I saw a story about a Nigerian who was hit on the head while walking by a falling bullet but didn’t know what hit him but noticed consistent pains on the head . Went to the hospital after some days and they extracted a bullet from his head which luckily didn’t penetrate his skull but got embedded under his head skin .
My further investigation revealed that shooting in the air is like doing a Russian roulette. A documentary was done on it that reveals a bullet shot in the air is almost as dangerous as the one shot directly at you .
It is just purely indiscipline from the office to discharge his fire arm recklessly like that . He should be charged by the state .
