A police officer has killed his 5-year-old niece on New Year's eve, December 31 in Owerri, Imo state, IGBERETV has learnt.

OAP Dotun has shared the sad story on Twitter. In his post, Dotun stated that the officer had fired the shot in celebration but the bullet landed on his 5-year-old niece who came to Nigeria with her mum for the holiday.

"A mother that lost her husband a year ago, came to Nigeria with her 3 kids, chose to celebrate at their Dad’s in the village to mark his remembrance but a policeman ruined it. He shot in the air. The bullet pierced the girls stomach. They didn’t even know until later. She died"

To be a Nigerian police is becoming more of a curse this days as you hardly find a sane person among them.

Talk of prosecuting them most of the time, nowhere instead they relocates them to cool victims nerves.
