Majority Yorubas Support Peter Obi; Disagree With Others Supporting Tinubu by Pauldollars(op): 9:26pm On Jan 05, 2023

On many social media platforms and Whatsapp Groups, I have noticed that a lot of Yorubas totally disagree and argue with other Yorubas over their support towards the APC Presidential candidate.

Even on the groups on which I am a member of in Akure, the majority of my colleagues on the platform who are all Yorubas totally disagree with some few fellows who are suporters of the APC.

These colleagues are often tagged as tribalistic.

Now the question is "Why are the majority of Yorubas not in support of the APC, but prefer other candidates most especially the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party

Imagine Yōrùbás yabbing other Yōrùbás supporting Tinubu..On which mandate? Ka ma ribi

I'm not among them. I'd vote Peter Obi, me and my folks. It's a personal decision. My group had conducted a medical outreach for Obidatti23 in Lagos last year. We spent our money and resources to support someone who's not of our tribe, someone who doesn't even know us. We believe in him. It's high time Nigerians looked beyond tribe or ethnicity in electing a leader. Buhari is a northerner. His givernment didn't favour them. North is the most insecure and impoverished in Nigeria today

The most useless and senseless thing to do as Human being is voting for someone simply because of language and religion affiliation.

Suffering don't know what the Bleep your language or religion is, you will suffer till death if you lack common sense in decision making.

I am from ondo state but base in Lagos, I am fully Obidient, because I know Peter Obi is the closest to getting it right in this country.

Yes, like I mentioned earlier, it's high time we looked beyond ethnicity and religion in electing a leader. Ask every northerner today, they'd tell you buhari didn't favour them. When last did you hear them shout said baba?

I was one of those who voted him in 2015. I spent my time and energy canvassing people for him. We're wiser now. If I were to choose between buhari and tinubu in terms of integrity, I'd go for buhari still. Sadly, age and ill health affected his administration.
He also chose the wrong people to work with him. I knew him personally apart from what he did in the 80s. If we must support our own, where's Osinbajo? Where's fashola? If you ask his blind supporters, they'd tell you he has the right as every Nigerian to contest. The whole world already has his resume in their palms. Are we not ashamed? That's their choice and I have made my choice. In fashola's voice when asked why he's not campaigned for his boss...I mind my business. Many people aren't seeing Tinubu's so called popularity in the south west the way we see it. If he's so popular, why did he lose his home state cos apc's loss is equally his loss...despite being the ruling party in the state. But urchins will still tell you he'd win all the south western States as if they're the only ones who would vote on election day grin

. We shall see.

I've known buhari since when my boss was alive. He always lodged in his macdonalds ikoyi home, he trusted him so much. Buhari can wear a shoe for a year he doesn't care. Very strict with spending. We need someone who would drag us out of this mess, not someone who would worsen it. Nigeria may collapse anytime. Nobody can say they're not feeling it.

the wisest thing for an undergraduate to do is to vote Peter Obi. At least u finish school work de wait for you and salaries of workers would be really increased. but voting in a corrupt government because he is your tribe is just you shooting yourself on the foot because after you leave school you go come suffer am de look for work

It's just unthinkable that one will see a candidate he knows is qualified in all ramifications, just because the candidate isn't from his ethnic or religious leaning he will jettison that candidate for an obvious criminal that's unqualified in every respect!

Majority of them are doing that because of religion affiliation, some were Osinbajo fans n they are still very bitter of primary election outcome and the others were PDP members only few are supporting Obi because they really believed in him.
