I don’t know why a society allows people to be kidnapped because they owe money.
And the hospital authorities shamefully taking photos after holding someone against their will.
If she had died, the entire bill would have been written off as bad debt in their books.
Accounting allows for loss by a corporate entity. The longer the woman is held, the higher the bill. The inhumane torture of begging other patients and their families for money is unfair.

And this is NOT AN ISOLATED CASE. It happens a lot in Nigeria’s healthcare, including private and public hospital NATIONWIDE.

Yes the healthcare centre should earn money for services rendered, but holding someone hostage like this is wrong.

I have also paid (with input from my church members) someone’s bill after a delivery of a child in Lagos.
