Guys I really need your help and advice my poor mum just had a broken bone.
It got twisted by a hoodlum while trying to collect her phone from her. During the cause he twisted her hand round and serverly damaged her.
As I'm typing this I can't even think straight, have been in tears since morning, I'm losing my mind already.
Below are the x-ray pictures tho they have taken her to a retired doctor who use bandage to wrapped her "pop" and he claimed it will heal itself, but I'm still scared because she's all I have left on this earth. She's 50+ and also diabetic.
Please guys help me I'm going crazy already. She's just paralzyed and in severe pain and lying down lifelessly. I don't know what to do. Or to believe what the Man said that it's going to heal, I don't want anything to go wrong, and I don't want her to be a handicap for life. I won't forgive myself

Sorry for the situation.
If this doctor is an orthopedic doctor, chance is he has properly reset the broken bone into its right position. Time and minimum movement will heal it well and there will be nothing to fear.
If not,try orthopedic hospital for proper alignment of the bone.

Though some local massage persons like the ilaws can set bone, but you must be sure of the person's track record before going for this option.
In ALL try orthopedic hospital and be rest assured. Wish you luck, and your mum quick recovery.

I believe your mum is fine now.
Please my mum is currently in the same situation, almost the same affected area. Was it the doctor you took her to that treated her?
Please your timely response will be appreciated as I'm tired and confused right now.
She's currently in the hospital and have spent about two weeks.

To hasten the healing rate place her in a healing chamber also known as hyperbaric oxygen therapy chamber. There will be up to 70% reduction in healing time with HBOT.

We took her to government specialist hospital after the local bone setter had done the work to check if it's well set. We did series of X-rays and The doctor told us there's no need to reset it again that the bone Wil heal with Time. She has been on medication and getting better tho she do complain about inching sometimes but it's normal.

Thanks for you response. Her leg was casted with POP but was later removed after some days to properly take care of the wound as the leg was becoming swollen. The doctor said they will put back the POP once the wound has healed up to a satisfactory stage.
Is your mum still on POP? Because my mum also complained of itching when she had the POP on too.

Same process. She was on pop And she complained of itching and hotness because the pop was so tight And eating up her hands, after a while the doctor had to change the pop and we discovered she had an open injuries which was another work entirely. We had to put a light pop and maintain The injuries to heal for weeks, month. As she's a diabetic. After it healed the doctor had to wrapped it with another pop again this time around, it took her months before she finally removed the pop and now she's okay unless little complaints sometimes which is cause by healing process, we were told it will take years for The hand to fully heal, but at the moment she's doing things with the hand and living good sha.
