Nigerian government is not sincere about eliminating prostitution and sex-trafficking.

Do you honestly expect those politicians who use these women to relax or the same people who have links to these criminal sex-trafficking cartels to abolish it?

Funnily enough, there are more women in sex trafficking in Nigeria than men.

Well some Nigerians and foreigners believe it is a national risk to legalize prostitution in Nigeria because of the negative effects it would have on children and the menace it would bring on the people of Nigeria: sex traffickers would hide under legalization of prostitution to carry out their organized criminal activities.

With the government in control, it will be difficult to register underage girls as sex workers. Proper regulation will enable the government to tackle related criminal activities and reduce them to the barest minimum.
