This is the longest uninterrupted fuel scarcity in Nigeria’s history.

Even Abacha was not this incompetent.
... And we still complained during his regime.

Last week, the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, said the Federal Government had budgeted about N3.6tn for fuel subsidy till June 2023

Just for less 6 months subsidy.

These people are heartless. I am 100% sure they don't spend half the amount they claim to spend in oil production .

It's just less than 2 months.. I pray for a fair election.

Subsidy go do us shege

To all those blaming Buhari, shey na him refuse to revamp the refineries all these years?

We have had 3 administrations before him and none of them worked on our refineries or at least took a step towards building a new one.

We now have Port Harcourt refinery about to start work in the coming months, latest 2024 and the oga pata pata of them all Dangote refinery about to be commissioned.

We are faced with the consequences of bad leadership starting from Obasanjo the ghost face killer.
Are u trying to tell us that it took Buhari 9 years to revamp an existing Refinery? Buhari promised to build one each year during his campaign.
Doing business with it isn’t bad…. Na another means of having food on your plate in this harsh economy.
But think about your safety ooo.
No go burn landlord house oo
Landlord dey somewhere dey hustle for food, thinking atleast he has a building already, na only food remain….
Tenant dey here dey plan how burn the house down.
Even if na your own house, please be careful.
I will say please don’t do it.
[ I am my own landlord and such a business is done undergroung. Go to any filing station, the fuel is kept undergroung in the presence of carbon(iv)oxide to avoid feasible fire disaster]

1.When he Buhari was voted in, he was not voted in to repair just one refinery

2. Dangote precceds his admin.

3.There was one thing he could have done on June 1, 2015, remove subsidy, and allow the market set the price. NNPC would have had all 4 refineries working now.

The simple solution to the fuel crisis is permit individuals to build small refineries that would only sell their products locally then sell crude to them at an agreed affordable n profitable price locally.

Thank God they now explained why there was scarcity towards the end of Jonathan regime. I remember Buhari and his cohort using the scarcity to catch cruise and make themselves popular. I wonder why Tinubu has not been using thus scarcity for campaign promising to always make fuel available and calling his friends in power incompetent.

There is only one answer and that is the removal of subsidies totally.

Otherwise there is going to be scarcity whoever is in charge because the price controls inherent in subsides will prevent profits being made which would lead to scarcity

The free money from subsidy leads to corruption and stealing.

The mass smuggling of cheap fuel means we lose billions for nothing. Mass smuggling that both big and small people do

And it is obvious that 50 years of subsidy has resulted in the decline of domestic refining capacity.

Remove subsidy. Let the market control the price. Just like we do for other things

But this apc govt wants to keep believing in the false god called cheap fuel. And they sacrifice our economy and future on its altar
Removing subsidy totally may not solve the problem,if subsidy is totally removed with crude oil been sold at international rate n the naira depreciating continuously how on Earth are going to fare better,I think the best solution would be to permit individuals the right to build refineries that would sell their products locally only then sell the crude to them at an agreed local rate.

Where's that guys that always list no fuel scarcity as one of the achievement of Buhari's govt. And says under the Jonathan's rule there was always long ques

Here we are. We've never had it this bad. We Carried fuel scarcity from one year to another and at a ridiculous price.

Those that staged protests when Jonathan increased it to just 200 are now buying at 300 and no one is saying anything.

God bless Nigeria

There is a lot of insincerity, if private depots sell Petrol at 250 then why is the pump price at 400? That is an enormous profit of 150, where is the phantom subsidy?

Each time I remember the fanfare that brought this failure called Buhari to power, I shake my head repeatedly in disbelief of what has befallen this nation now.

Where are the YAM EATER crooners?
Where are the NEW SHERIF in town crooners?
Where are the INTEGRITY man crooners?

People can really be educated but not smart.
Another worse calamity is warming up. This time they don't preach he has integrity, it is he developed LAGOS grin grin grin grin. Haaaa, there are sworn enemies of this country.
Buhari has always been an incompetent leader. People only love him because of they see him as an honest man. Unfortunately, honesty and competency are completely different terms. You can be honest and dum.b. This is the situation Buhari has found himself. He's not necessarily chasing wealth but he is as dum.b as f..ck.

Now, some them have moved to Tinubu. This man ticks all the corruption indexes ever known to the world, from upbringing to family, age, basic education, businesses, health, and public funds. To worsen the matter, he is the worst governor Lagos state has ever produced from 1999 till date. The records are there but people, again, have chosen to ignore. He has the least number of projects in Lagos since 1982 yet he remains the unbeaten wealthiest politician from the region till date.

They say Lagos budget in his tenure was slim so how did Marwa and those before him build massive infrastructure around the state with even smaller budgets?

A man who did next to nothing in Lagos compared to Fashola and Ambode's 4 years in office is now been propelled as the savior of Nigeria.

Lets not even talk about his age and mental health.

Part of the Rascality Peter Obi is talking about. NNPC gives out Crude Oil, and collects finished product in exchange yet they still talk about subsidy.

What about all the other remaining finished products that NNPC didn't collect from the people it gave Crude Oil to? At least 11 finished products can be gotten from Crude Oil
