Wike is saying put your allocation to work so that it can produce votes. If there are no votes, it means you aren't working with the money you got.

But that's the whole idea in the first place... social contract. The objective of a political party is to gain and hold unto political power. The only legitimate way it can do that by delivering on its manifesto so that electorate can keep voting for it. Unfortunately, the political parties aren't performing and want to remain by fire by force and the electorate don't know their rights

i understand all that but it is irrational to threaten a man because you dont get the votes you want. people vote how they want to vote . you cant threaten a man because of what people decide to vote on. some people may just be fired of pdp and wike and want him and his party out. its like oshiomole who was doing a better job in edo than obaseki ( street light commisioning ) ever could but the people decided to vote him out and choose obaseki. you cant control the peoples votes and its crazy to threaten a man because of how people choose to vote

I think the point Wike was making was very clear. The party needs votes and it won't get it if it's political officers steal govt funds instead of executing projects for the people
