Yeah, it's Odegaard.

Gabriel Jesus complexion just gave him away else it might be difficult for someone (maybe me sha) to know it's him grin

You accept that as a forward he should score goals but you are still comfortable having him overwork himself outside his forward role. I mean, you see him as a forward but want him to spend all his time outside the forward role, and yet expect that he should score goals since he is a forward. How can a forward not be in the forward position and is still expected to do his duties as a forward.

Let me assume you have not played the position before or felt the impact. I was a forward player and I know that for you to have the right frame of mind and composure to finish off chances as a forward you have to get less involved with the build up. Unless the coach does not place a demand on you for goals, and he is comfortable having you drop deep (Firmino). But if he demands goals output as your KPI in every game, then it is only wise to keep to your primary duties and aim for goals (Haaland).

As for Jesus, we all know that Arteta is comfortable having him roam the entire pitch creating chances knowing that Martinelli, Odegaard and Saka will finish them off. Something I regard as a sacrifice from Jesus. However anytime Arteta begins to feel uncomfortable with his goals output, then it will be wise for Jesus to stick to forward play majorly just as Nketiah has done so far. This is because, sooner than later fans will begin to demand for Nketiah to start when goals are needed.
Lol... You're conflating issues and that's the reason why we're going round and round in circles.

You claim Jesus sacrifices himself for his fellow attackers which makes his fellow attackers benefit from his sacrifices. If to say na Lacazette you dey talk about, I would have agreed (at least that's what I agreed on last year)

Look at this below stats before his injury..
1... Jesus have the most Shots on target amongst all our forwards (in fact two time more than the next person)

2... Jesus have the most passes received in the opposition box(more than any player in pl)

3... Jesus have the most big chances received and most big chances missed in EPL (more than two times the next arsenal player)

4... None of Jesus shot have been taken outside the box 18

Looking at these 4 stats, does this look like someone who is "sacrificing" his goals and attack for his fellow attackers to benefits?

Darwin Nunez is someone who is trolled cos of the amount of chances he misses too(with respect to what his been provided). I guess Darwin Nunez is involved in much buildups like G.Jesus too.

Darwin Nunez is someone that scored 32 goals last season, I guess me calling him "not clinical" this season is an insult on him too.

It's simple to see that you're very wrong in saying Jesus being involved in buildups means he's sacrificing his goals for his fellow attackers.

And I'll keep on saying it...

The difference between Newcastle game and Wolves game Is just Gabriel Jesus. There are many things Jesus did in that Wolves game that opened their defences that Nketiah just didn't have that quality in him. All those things you said he should stop is one of the key reasons why we're at the top of the table.

I rest my case

Like, it's becoming annoying.

So they want us to turn dundee without any emotions. Once ref blows something that's unjust, we'll just smile and pass. Like say other teams don't protest too.

I rest my case
I agree that Jesus could have made a difference in the game against Newcastle because of his ability and willingness to create overloads in every area of the pitch thus giving the team a man advantage every time we have the ball.

That's a testimony of how hardworking the player is. That's the job of the playmaker. I have noticed that Odegaard positions himself on one area of the middle while Jesus does the play making on the other side- like having two playmakers and no strikers. If probably that's what Arteta demands from him. It's OK. But if not then it is not OK especially for him as a forward player. Playing forward means his primary goal is to score goals. So if he isn't focused on that it means he is deliberately sacrificing self glory for the good of the team. I hope the sacrifices would be seen when stats (like the ones you have posted- maligning him) are read out.

Yes he does receive the ball in the box, but that's after running all the way from the middle line where he himself have contributed to the buildup. What happens next is that he is no longer in the right composure for a neat finish. This is one area you have not gotten yet. Everyone including himself may feel he should be able to deal with it. May be you feel that good finishing does not require mind and body to be correctly sync, but that's what it is. This is why most strikers like Nketiah, Haaland etc who are focused on goals try to avoid getting too much involved in the buildup. I have used heat maps to clarify this fact.

So if scoring goals really is a desire for GJ, then it is either he focuses more on making goalscoring runs, and positioning or he finds a way to work on himself to be able to compose himself so as to finish off chances. This is a tall order

My grouse with you is concluding that GJ is not clinical without finding out the reason.

Strikers who are good goal scorers don't just become less clinical, something usually is responsible. Either it is psychological or mental pressure. None of this can be said to be affecting GJ.

Arteta wins Premier League Manager for the Month
Jonathon Rogers
13 Jan 2023

Mikel Arteta has won the Premier League Manager of the Month award for November and December, after guiding us to four victories from four games over the period.

It is Mikel’s second award of the campaign, having also been named as August’s top performer, while it is his fourth success during his time as our manager.

We enjoyed a 100 per cent record in the two months either side of the World Cup, beating Chelsea, Wolves, West Ham United and Brighton & Hove Albion to finish 2022 in style.

Mikel came out on top ahead of fellow nominees Jurgen Klopp, Eddie Howe and Thomas Frank, and was presented with his award in front of one of the new Emirates Stadium artworks.

His success comes after Martin Odegaard picked up the Premier League's Player of the Month prize for the same time period, meaning it is the first time since March 2015 that we scooped both awards, when Arsene Wenger and Olivier Giroud were the recipients.
