HYDERABAD: Prohibition and excise sleuths arrested a Nigerian drug peddler and seized 178 grams of cocaine from him. The accused was arrested by the excise team a few months ago in another cocaine peddling case.



Acting on specific information, a Task Force team arrested Ngwuchukwu Godwin Ifeanyi (32) near Huda Park in Vanasthalipuram in the early hours of Saturday.

The team seized 24 grams of cocaine in his possession and subsequently the team raided his rented house at LIG colony in Vanasthalipuram.

“From his house, we seized 154 grams of cocaine,” excise superintendent K Pradeep Rao said. “About five months ago, he was arrested by Dhoolpet excise team for peddling in cocaine. Currently, he is out on bail in that case," Rap said.
The accused said that he has been selling each gram of cocaine for ₹7,500 to ₹10,000.

During the interrogation, the accused confessed to have brought the cocaine from a Bengaluru-based supplier. Godwin picked up the contraband from the supplier and reached Hyderabad in a private bus. As he was waiting to meet a prospective customer, the excise team swooped in on him.

Excise officials said that Godwin came to India in 2015 on a student visa and joined a pharmacy college in AP’s Kakinada. After a few years, he shifted to Hyderabad and started indulging in narcotics peddling.

A cellphone and ₹38,000 cash were also recovered from the accused.

That's the greatest tragedy of the civil war. The average igbo man believes you're out to get him but it's not so.

I think some of these catches are planted. Am not defending any criminal who is there to do crimes.

These people pay to money to go to India for education, or for sales, etc But the indians can't understand how they survive without work, because the Indians don't give them any work, if it's not damn near slave work.

The indians see these guys smoking weed and maybe selling weed to the indians, then they go raid their homes and plant narcotics in there. We need to examine the fingerprints or other forms of dna that can be identified by real professionals.

I can't vouch for this suspect sha, but I also suspect the indians too. They can be vindictive.
