Do they freely allow real journalists into every event, especially major ones, without invitation or accreditation? Talkleess of you criminals hiding behind your pen You may even go to the world cup and demand to cover it without being invited and accepted.

Were you given a pass/clearance to cover the event?! I also once worked in a media house as a TV Producer.. Without an official invitation, you simply maintain you lane.. To even think that your media house and its owner is at loggerhead with Tinubu and his team should have prompted courtesy and professionalism from your part.. You don't insult a man and expected to be treated to a buffet at his table..

Post No Bill

The program was organized by Nigeria Economic Summit Group & the lead journalist there, Boafson Omofaye was an accredited NESG journalist.

A follow-up to Bayo Onanuga: AriseTV Tried To Stream Tinubu's Event Without Permission.

Arise TV cameraman clandestinely streamed live Asíwájú Bola Tinubu’s event in Lagos today. He was not authorized by anyone. He was clearly on espionage, but was busted and sent out. Is journalism by stealth part of the practice by Arise News?

@Yemi Ajayi

Bayo Onanuga: For clarity, the Tinubu-Shettima campaign is not against Arise TV covering its events. The Lagos NESG dialogue was not meant for TV live coverage. It was to be recorded and shown later. Other TV houses did not breach the rule, except Arise News. And it was done by stealth. Why?

@Yemi Ajayi

Yemi Ajayi is Director of news @AriseNews.
u want to know why he was surreptitiously videotaping u? But u ignorantly answered ur question u dumb daft scum.. to be recorded and shown later after thorough editing? There u go oponu oshi .. electorates wants live interactive sessions and if u can’t afford them diz privileges.. u should contest for family office not public office..

This is a lie. Freedom of information act is clear on matters like this. A public event should be covered by media houses, talk more of an election event.

It should be livestreamed from beginning to end QED.

Oga, this is an inhouse event.....you don't even the law you are quoting. Permission needs to be taken to cover inhouse events.

The APC such a bitter political association! So because some of the programs on Arisetv has not favored their presidential candidate, they don’t want the channel’s news crew covering a public event again! Should we now take it that the ones they didn’t disturb were paid to report the edited version of the event, since no notice was given to any of the News stations on not live streaming the event! . The biggest problem of this country right now seems to be this political party. They came in and things got worse for the nation. They need to be voted out for things to get better again, wallahi! undecided

This is a figment of what the APC led party and tinubu are planning to do, paradventure they win in 2023; take away our freedom of speech and press freedom.....since their arch leader would definitely be up and doing embarrassing the country, as he is doing now.

Was Arise accredited for a live coverage?

I have been following Nigerian broadcast media right from when I was a child. It was partly inspired by NTA network news from the days of Cyril Stober, Tokunbo Ajayi, Eugenia Abu, John Momoh, Aisha Bello (Katung), Fatima Abbass Hassan, Livi Ajunoma, Kalu Otisi, Ruth Benamasia Opia and Frank Olize. Then came Channels, AIT, ITV and early 2000s, Silverbird. We also had MiTV, Galaxy and LTV.

Never in my life has any broadcast media has been as controversial as Arise! They are in the news instead of reporting the news. Only Arise is fighting Wike and Bola Tinubu. Only Arise journalists make it to the news for unprofessionalism and telling lies.

How come Channels is not involved in all these controversies? You were transmitting an event you were not accredited to and instead of apologizing, you are explaining it away.

It is because Arise has controversial editorial policies that their former MD resigned.

The station may not last.

Men the nerve of this Arise TV crew. How hard can it be before they get it through their thick skull that the event wasn't meant to be streamed live, yet they wanted to stream it live.

It's good they were kicked out. I host an event and I say I don't want it streamed live, you came with your crew and start talking gibberish about having a responsibility to stream live to your viewers. What nonsense and narrow mindedness.

It was not a party meeting nor was it a meeting of the PCC, so how was it an in-house event?

The press was present, only the BAT team wanted to control the narrative, which is unnecessary given that the uncensored video is important for the electorate in their decision making progress.

What are you people hiding?

another bold mumu done waka come.

Press pass is needed when in access is restricted. The event wasn't private. Other media houses were there. The issue was just against live streaming.
