I stand with Edu on this one my people. The difference between what we offered and what the gave was just 5m. No one should be held to ransom. To a very large extent I am more pissed at Mudryk, you led people on and then not even a little form of resistance. This happened with Sanchez, Gabriel M , Gabriel Jesus and so on, people are always particularly clear about what the want. Present Chelsea over arsenal in choice? Hahahahaha. Nah bruv , I could even understand going to liverpool Man U and City but Chelsea with Potter( that team play like the pack everyone inside the field and shout 'do you' ) That money will get us like two or three players honestly. I will we can recall Balogun instead of buying a new striker , It will give Nekky more confidence and respect. This is our opportunity to get the title and the board are acting like a clown lol We are martinelli or saka injury away from staring marqiunhos and smith Rowe lol ( and we are league leaders o) A serious team like real madrid or psg will have gotten that mudryk deal done earlier but we have a board that can not take the risk to sign a great prospect. Na this small club menatilty go make us lose saka and saliba very soon
|

TradingGod:U are angry at Edu? What happened to Nicolas Pepe that was signed for over 70 million? Instead of u to hope we bring in quality signing irrespective of the price tag, u are being annoyed at Edu not signing a player in a transfer situation that is beyond his control. There's no Guarantee Mudryk or whatever he's called will perform to our expectation. What we should be focused on is getting an option B that should be worth his onions as fans |

It seems you dont understand the position we are in This January and 15 days to deadline No reinforcement and we are topping the table with only saka and martinelli as our sure wingers This is the same circuis they did last year and we lost a very bright talent on bruno Guimaraes and we aloso lost top4 Mudryk for the proce is better than any alternatives Because clubs now know that we have €90million copling of in the bank It has put us in a disadvantage positiob in transaction because clubs now know that we desperately need a winger so that we can continue our title charge This means that we might end up overpaying for a olayer not as takented as mudryk Which bring us back to the point that why will edu delay for over 2 months to bid €95million and then back off because of additional €5million, if that is not stupidity, then I wonder what it is We are top of the table with a very serious man city sode chasing us behind At this stage we should not be dragging our feet concerning decisions that could make or break our season If we intend on winning the league, then we needed our new winger here since the first week of January, that is how a club show seriousness in winning the league but unfortunately we have fans supporting this stupidity knowing that we might now panic and even sign a medicore player out of desperation for a high fees (peenywise pound foolish) just because of €5million ![]() I hope the club get their plan b on time because we are a saka or martinelli injury away from starting marqiunhos...lol what a small club menatilty...pukes ![]() |

BlueRayDick:comparing pepe deal with this one is very strange Because we know arteta talent ID is top notch, for arteta to go all in for that player means he is no ordinary kid you see out there, kid got that it factor for real Pepe was signed by the board eventho emery wanted zaha Pepe workrate is not great compared to this guy PEPE IS NOT ARTETA SIGNING. Man city backed pep with €100miion for grealish, that is how you back your manager by going for their choice The market is inflated already, acting as if it's not inflated is pure foolishness, even madrid bought rydrygo for a big fee even thos he was a teenager with litlle experience So you see my friend, in life we take big risk when we see the bigger picture. This is why chelsea have won 2 champions league trophy and our only achievement is a trophy we won since 2004....very shameful ![]() |

TradingGod:Graelish was signed by citu for 100m and he's a flop as of today ( U can prove me wrong tho). Signing a player for a very humongous fee does not guarantee success hace my reference to Pepe not because I'm comparing Pepe as a player to Mudryk. The earlier u realize Chelsea is not arsenal, the better for u. If a coach has recommended a player to the board and those involved in negotiations have done everything possible to sign the player while keeping the books balanced, I don't see any reason for giving the club the stick for a negotiation that is beyond their control. Clubs hijack other clubs negotiations and it's not new. |

BlueRayDick:Lol, lokonga was also cheap and he is a flop High fee does not matter in football, talent is the most important That is why talented players go for high free If we find a talent we get one and if he is a very talented, then we get him at all cost. Na so Wenger mumu himself untill we lost mbape The earlier u realize Chelsea is not arsenal, the better for u.That is why chelsea will always win more trophies than us.. #SmallClubMenatlity With this type of mindset I pray that other big teams don't snatch saka, martnelli and salibba from us And I also pray the player we end up with will leave upto expectation because an injury to saka and martinelli means bye bye to the league title and God forbid top4 |

BlueRayDick:interference is subjective reason the FA mentioned what can be tagged as interference. Unless you can pick the exact infringement from the rule book which I’ve taken time to attach . Then there’s no argument. Y’all can’t be inferring when the rule book has already clarified what is termed an interference in this case. I’m not a big fan of those scummies but logic must prevail

iamoyindamola:Oga the rule book already clarified what interference means in this case. I’ve asked you which one stated by the FIFA rules and not what some peeps are defining in their own terms did Rashford break you are yet to answer. Instead y’all keep brandishing the word interference interference interference. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Nobody: 11:48am On Jan 15, 2023 |
BlueRayDick:So you can’t see the Everton player clearly sitting in front DDG and blocking the path of that ball only to take off his leg in the last minute. He blocked the keeper from seeing the ball and that’s in the rule book.

kokaneprodigy:the rule that was infringed was *Clearly attempting to play the ball which is close when this action impacts on an opponent It's clear this is what Rashford did. It was only at the last minute he decides NOT to play the ball. By then HIS ACTIONS have already impacted on Man city's defence who were so focused on him and Even the next rule after this particular rule was even defaulted too |

Jodera:You see why I was not all out on Luiz and Mistaffi under Emery. Not like they were the best defenders out there but because they were easily scapegoated. We were playing a lethargic midfield of Guen, Xhaka and Willock as AM under Emery that season. The defense gets pummeled from kickoff to final whistle and you expect them not to leak in goals and make errors under intense pressure every minute of the match. We are seeing it happen to Liverpool where’s VVD to save the day? The one they claim is the best thing to happen to Liverpool. |

| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jodera: 12:44pm On Jan 15, 2023 |
kokaneprodigy:He was running away from the ball? ![]() Come on na!! The distance he started his race and the time just in which he decided NOT TO play the ball is over 5meters in distance covered if I'm not wrong. Tell me how someone who's chasing a ball for up to 5metres and defenders are charging at him is deemed as "not attempting to play the ball"? No be so ball come meet am sef and he stood. He blatantly CHASED THAT BALL in a dangerous zone. That itself is clearly an attempt. Whether he played it or not is another thing entirely |

Jodera:The rule never said you shouldn’t run towards the ball, if they didn’t want you to run towards it FA would have clearly stated it, as what counts as interference. na why I said y’all should read the rules and as much as you can avoid (though tempting) adding your own words. Your second paragraph is speculative at best. you ain’t in his mind. You can never be sure he was running at it to “clearly attempt to play the ball”. Or are you saying every player than runs towards a ball plays it? Sometimes Players run towards a ball only for it cross the line and lead to a throwing. Meanwhile the key phrase is “clearly attempt” not “attempt” I repeat he didn’t “clearly attempt”. |

kokaneprodigy:Mustafi have always being maligned even when we have a Midfielder of cazorla Ozil Ramsey and Xhaka (under Wenger). Fans didn't start insulting him under Emery 2nd season so his own is not due to Xhaka and Guen. David Luiz have a reputation for mistakes even before his time at arsenal, so his own is acceptable. It was only during Emery 2nd season we were receiving goals left right and center and it was even till november sef(where he was sacked). When Arteta took over, it subsided. It's the reason why I Will never ever place Gabriel and Mustafi in the same bracket. Mustafi was a pure eyesore before Emery |

kokaneprodigy:How would you make an attempt without running towards ball bikonu?? ![]() That's logic na It's like you saying you want my blood without piercing my skin. How does that happen?? ![]() |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jodera: 12:57pm On Jan 15, 2023 |
You're just using "clearly" to make a case. How is that not a clear attempt that he intended to play a ball when he ran over 5meters chasing said ball. Like na toddlers we be wey dey watch ball ni? ![]() |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Nobody: 12:59pm On Jan 15, 2023 |
Jodera:First you run towards a ball, attempt comes after which you can decide to do or not do. The point is running towards a ball is not sufficient to tag it a clear attempt to play a ball. To cook my meal I first need to enter the kitchen but entering the kitchen does not automatically mean I want to cook. Hope you get. To drive my car I will have to go towards it and enter inside it, I could also go towards my car enter my car and not drive it. |

kokaneprodigy:In football, distance covered is very very essential in analysing things. Did his actions (the run and distance covered) affected the way Man city defenders handled that situation? Yes or no! The answer is obviously yes except if you just wan turn amala I ask and I want you to answer me honestly. If he didn't make that run, would Bruno have gotten that Ball to even shoot it? |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Nobody: 1:04pm On Jan 15, 2023 |
Jodera:I’m not saying, on the contrary I’m reading the rules. It’s you who is saying and assuming. In law assumption does not fly, a rule is a law. Reason they say in law ignorance is not an excuse. Reason if you are signing a legal agreement the terms will be defined in simple words avoiding ambiguity as much as possible. That “clearly” you saw there is to remove any ambiguity. Reason anything that counts as interference were also clearly stated. Rashford did not “clearly attempt to play the ball”. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Nobody: 1:06pm On Jan 15, 2023 |
Jodera:The question is speculative as I don’t know neither can you tell. Even though I don’t see how Rashford’s pace affects Bruno’s. |

iamoyindamola:Your initial argument is that he obstructed Akanji, Now you are talking he clearly attempted to play. Stay one place let me know your exact argument. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jodera: 1:10pm On Jan 15, 2023 |
kokaneprodigy:Lol .. so you watched that ball Ystdy and you claim it wasn't clear So give me an example of what Rashford would do in that situation that will be regarded as a clear attempt after covering that long distance. I'll be patiently waiting |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jodera: 1:12pm On Jan 15, 2023 |
kokaneprodigy:Bruno capitalised on Man city's focus on Rashford. That focus the the defenders had on Rashford is surely the interference. Without Rashford making that huge sprint, they would never have been focused on him. His run and distance covered clearly interfered with play there. It's that simple |

| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Nobody: 1:15pm On Jan 15, 2023 |
Jodera:1.if his body touches any City player while going for that ball 2.If he touched the ball. 3.If Akanji caught up with him and he clearly obstructed him. 4.If he ran towards the goalie to disturb him. What y’all don’t get is he was outside the box hence disturbing goalie wouldn’t count 2. That pass could have been said to be intended for Bruno who wasn’t offside looking at the path. Reason the ref had to give benefit of the doubt. |
