Today January 15th is armed forces remembrance, this year's celebration is quite different from others because I noticed a lot of emotional gameplay on social media especially here on Nairaland about the Jan 1966 failed coup. Even here on Nairaland forum I noticed that a lot of threads about how Igbos planned to take over Nigeria during the 1966 coup, to the extent of one Dr Musa Bayero hash tagging #Northremembers#. This brings me back as far back as 1983 when the current President Buhari overthrew Alh shehu shagari and his Vice Dr Alex Ekwueme, some speculation was that Shagari was planning to hand over to Dr Alex Ekwueme his Vice thus leading to the coup.
Now with the way Peter Obi popularity is surging and they way people are particularly interested in this election especially the youth, one can comfortably predict how the outcome of the election would be. I'm not predicting Obi would win but I know he stands a strong chance of winning, If the latter happens by God's grace would President Buhari led APC government comfortably hand over power to Peter Obi With all these reservations by the north about Igbos?

If INEC declares Peter Obi as President-elect, Buhari would have no choice than to hand over to him.

The only thing that they might want to do is to send their boys in the Army to organize a coup but even that will be roundly rejected by Nigerians, Nigeria and her friends and development partners.

We practice democracy. I don't see why Buhari will not hand over if Obi wins.

You will be surprised that Tinubu will also congratulate and wish Obi a successful tenure, if all reports and facts conclude a fair and just election.

Many people do not know Tinubu, but Ibo has a penchant for demonizing and sticking bad, stinking labels on people. Minus the false labels, Tinubu is just, and very democratically-centric.
