You guys keep on messing the point up
Last season when partey and other key players got injured the season went off before our eyes
This season again we haven't address partey position
If these guys are really serious on buying they should have gotten players knowing jan transfer is the most difficult because no one will want to release players
Now we spent half of january running after ghost just the way we did with vlahovic, that is what got me angry plus the DM we were once eyeing has gone to nottinham
Now we are back to square one
The big issue is that you think we've not addressed Partey position this season when the club thinks otherwise (Elneny).

Remember, the club only started bidding for Danilo and later Douglas Luiz when they found out Elneny is out for a lengthy period. Not saying I'm agreeing with the choice but I just want you to see that what you think isn't addressed by the club is contrary to what they're thinking.

The only thing the club might be looking out for are just wingers(cos that's where we're short on), reason why they went all out for Mudryk. Maybe there's a plan B, but I don't think there's is because we were so confident of landing him as there was no other rival (just as we did Zinny).

The 95m was because of Chelsea sudden interest in the player. That's why some of us are happy it didn't go through because it is not the right valuation of the player. Mudryk is not worth more than 50m. Chelsea's involvement was what inflated the price after they bidded 80m.

Remember also the the SD president made it clear he wanted a bidding war. He got what he wanted from a desperate Chelsea.

Come to think of it, why wasn't the other big clubs like PSG, Barca or Madrid (not to talk of man United and City) chasing him like we or Chelsea did?
That is why i said we should have back out since because the player himself posted his valuation

That's when I will react. I know they are good at disappointing fans but let's just hope they can learn from last season.
Now you get my point

I think the big losers are Chelsea.

Shakhtar wanted to sell after Arsenal showed interest after scouting, but hyped their player claiming he was better Antony bought for 80m by Man United. Chelsea fell for the hype, and knowing how successful Arsenal scouting has been in recent years decided to go all out. Remember they got Felix on an expensive loan deal (because of same Arsenal interest). What they don't know is that what works for us may not work for them.

I hope to have a last laugh. Not at the player but at Chelsea. 8.5year deal on over 300k weekly is surely going to disrupt they dressing room further. Many of their players will become dissatisfied and discontented and they will begin to cause trouble.
You wouldn't know the bolded until it pans out. He might turn a hit for them and everyone will forget the price. He might turn a flop and your prediction will be right.

I rate the guy highly sha and like I said in Chelsea thread, I just hope the guy proved us wrong that he's not who we really thought he is grin

And yes, I hope it affects them in the long run too grin

Jodera:
No rule blames any player for the bolded. The only case Akanji had was that if he genuinely kept Rashford offside? If Rashford is involved in "active play", any other thing doesn't concern Akanji again. He'll only be blamed if Rashford is onside and he thought he was not or if Rashford isn't involved in active play.

Now the rule of offside is that.. the offending player is offside if he touches the ball or by interference (ie you don't need to touch the ball). The case you're making for Rashford is that he didn't "touch the ball" which is right.

But my case is that he caused an "Interference" and below is the rule I'm basing it from(screenshot attached , the 2nd rule I colored orange).

Now, tell me how Rashford didn't break that rule with respect to "his obvious action"?
Please note what I said. That whatever decision was made could still be debatable. That is even if an offside was given, it would be debated. Hence, each party must make a case for themselves. If Akanji had tried to play the ball then one would have justifiably said he was obstructed. The fact that he didn't, gave the ref room to award the goal. Remember, the ball wasn't coming to Akanji, it was leaving him. So he had to prove that he got the ball by making an attempt.

You are not getting it, we wasted so much time on a player we didnt eventually buy
What ever that happen in the negotiation room is not our concern, you guys are saying 95m for a bench player but edu kept going back no one force him
He should have close off the deal and look for alternative, to even think the difference between our offer and chelsea is 5m
He shouldn't have wasted so much time like that if he was really serious on the deal
You are the one not getting it. When u go to negotiation table, u only put ur cards on the table; you don't decide what decision the other party will take.

You don't have any information that suggests Edu did not try his best to get the player; yet u are accusing him of wasting time.

Now you see the problem
No plan B, tell me why i shouldn't be scared
Against newcastle we ran out of ideas bench was empty
I am 100% sure after January we can't have easy ride couple with fa cup and europa

Well.... They might just trust Nelson and Smith Rowe if they don't get any other signings.

But I'm 98% sure that we're not getting anybody after that failed Mudryk deal, reason why my hope is not up for any signings Tbh.

I think they're just been wary of deadwoods Tbh

Is mudryk an arsenal player undecided
How is that not time wasting , from the beginning they quoted 100 for us and use anthony as example
We can't pay simple we go away but he was going back and forth trying to add figures together
How is that not time wasting when shaktar never reduce the amount for a day

But you know Shaktar already agreed to our deal of 95m and it was just structure they were working on before Chelsea hijacked it at the last minute right?

If there was breakthrough and Shaktar did a turnaround, why then would you blame arsenal for time wasting?

There's nothing to gain because they cannot sell him above that fee in future even if he turns good. I mean look at Felix bought for 150m by Athletico Madrid and is going on loan. A player may be good doesn't mean he will be good for you. Arsenal scouted him, Chelsea only hijacked the deal.

That's why it's called NEGOTIATION. Anybody can quote anything, it's the job of an interested party to negotiate downward. Except u are paying the buy-out clause, u are expected to negotiate.

Meaning they are considering the offer not agreement if not arsenal can sue them for agreeing and not fulfilling it
Moreover why didnt we bring the 95 since

Who tells you most big clubs look at selling you for higher price in the future. Their own is that as they're buying you, let you perform very well at an optimum level. That's why he signed 8½ year deal

It'll only be a loss (just like Felix - athletico) if he flops. Mbappe was bought for 160m, nobody is saying PSG haven't gained anything.
Ronaldo moved at a world record fee. 10yrs from then, the money looked small.

And hijacking the deal doesn't automatically means he'll flop. Chelsea still hijacked deal of Hazard and Willian from arsenal and Tottenham respectively and both turned out great.

I hope this one turns out wrong for them tho cool

Of course, they would have agreed cos the breakthrough was there. Even Arteta In his pre-match conference gave hint about Mudryk and we know how Arteta hardly gives hints. Remember we're the only team interested as Chelsea initially backed out

Chelsea hijacking the deal at the dying minutes is what caused everything. And I'm sure it's more than that 5m they're brandishing about.

Chelsea acted desperate. If we brought our own 5m, they would still top it and that would result to a bidding war

Yeah... He was influenced.

Two days before Chelsea hijacked the deal, i read that Shaktar was telling him to choose Chelsea over arsenal as even though they're struggling cos in the long run they'll win trophies more than us. Moreover, I read even his family members were speaking to him too about Chelsea.

If you notice, that day Chelsea hijacked the deal and it was official, I said here that I don't blame him one bit because he was influenced. He isn't really happy and I'm not surprised

Our 1st 11 transfer fees (in pounds)

Ramsdale - 30m

Saliba - 27m
Gabriel - 25m
Zinchenko - 35m
White - 50m

Partey - 45m no
Xhaka - 35m
Odegaard - 30m

Saka - 0m
Martinelli - 6m
Jesus/Nketiah - 45m

Total... £328m

All these players (bar Xhaka) were all recruited by Edu and Arteta.

Kudos should be wholly credited to Edu(and the recruitment team) for really a job well done especially in this hyperinflated market.

Kudos also to Arteta for Making a monsters out of all these players.

I think we're one of the cheapest first 11 in EPL
