Jodera someone as helped you
That's exactly the point I was making. If you remove Rashford and yet there was no attempt by Akanji to get the ball, it means Rashford was not interfering. The key point is Akanji should have made an attempt. Make a sliding tackle, let the ball touch Rashford.

You think with this akanji won't have intercepted the ball
Or should I ask who's closer to the ball when rashford is not in the picture
Akanji or Bruno

What's clear is that Rashford did not touch the ball not attempted to. The only other factor would have been if there was contact between him and Akanji which would have impeded him.

It doesn't matter whether he was closer to the ball or not. The fact that he didn't attempt the ball gave him away.

The issue is Iamoyindamola and Jodera are completely understating the importance of the choice of “Obvious” and “Clearly” inserted in The rule they are quoting.

The obvious and clearly means “beyond reasonable doubt” you can’t prove beyond reasonable doubt that Rashford obstructed Akanji from playing the ball neither can you prove beyond reasonable doubt that Rashford wanted to play the ball. All your assertions are speculative and Once there’s doubt you have to give the accused the benefit of the doubt that’s how it works.

I referred them to a link of a similar case where Arsenal benefited from a similar situation Jodera started comparing distance ran like there was a mention of distance in the rule book. Just like this one the linesman initially disallowed it but ref explained the situation to him and the goal stood.

Keyword here is “Obvious and Clearly”

You can’t go to court arguing like this you go just Dey lose. There’s a reason some lawyers after assessing a situation would advise their clients to either settle out of court or do a plea bargain.

Rashford is full of Running all day. A Man Marking will help. Someone with Pace to match. I think Tomiyasu should start the game. Ben White no fit hold that guy in all truths. Partey will be back, so i expect he and Xhaka to turn things around cos Case might be on Odegaard and we have to also prepare for that as well. Not cos we are afraid, but cos we have to foresee outcomes nobody likes if overlooked.

For now, Nketiah brings one pressure that is great for our pacy Nelli. I hope he's ready to release splitting passed from deep to either of Nelli and Saka.

We are winning that game.

Eriksen really had a great day in that 1st leg.

I might be wrong but White is actually faster than Tomi. He is more rugged and calm. White should retain his spot IMO.

As for Martinelli, he is just off form. I trust him to be back.
Bonus: Casemiro will be suspended for the game if he get a yellow card tonight.

White? In which game? Compared to Yasu? You've forgotten so fast the streak of Games Yasu was in before he got injured? shocked

The hope bis Arteta barely tweak his XI so White will definitely start. But he should prepare for Rashford iMO. White is not good in these Running one on one duels. He's okay with marking sha. But not that speed.

We must do all to avoid repeating that high line mistake again.

As for Case, they may not play him so he can avoid suspension.

It is not a coincidence that since GJ got injured, Martinelli has gone down in his performance, especially in scoring goals.

Now I am hearing that Jesus will be out for most of the rest of this season.

Arteta may have to find a way to play in Martinelli more, as Nketiah will not be looking to play accross his shoulders all the time.

I don't mean to compare both. Just pointing out that White is actually faster. We should be more wary of Weghorst IMO. He is the real threat, not Rashford. Inasmuch as we remain compact at the back, White should have no problem with Rashford

If we are having problem with getting players from.outside.
Can't we look inwards.
Saka came from the academy.
And even at LWB he was playing well.
ESR came from academy.
They should give that Duberry guy a chance.
Even Nketiah was the one who salvaged our cup game in his first game for the senior arsenal premier league team against Norwich scoring twice to give us a 2-1 victory.

You made a nice point bro. The problem is the reluctance of Arteta to give these guys a chance. Most of them are still raw and have not tasted real action at senior level. Those who are suppose to step in are on loan but their performances eh...
Patino is having a good season
Balogun is having a good season
The 2 other strikers on loan, no news about them.

Nelson is using the treadmill already. BTW, we are now linked with Jesper Lindstrom. Boy is good. He is right footed but predominantly plays on RW. Better than that scammer judging by his YouTube video. grin

Lucky Dube even scored yesterday for the U18s. Nwaneri is still a young boy who is still in a development phase. Another one with potential is Lewis Skelly. All these kids need is chances to build them up.

But we have not been producing youngsters like before. Patino and Azeez were supposed to be the next break out stars but they're still in wilderness. Let's see what Arteta has got.

I believe Arteta doesn’t want anything to Jeopardize this Season, that’s why he’s not eager to see those youngsters start...
He should just try and start them in cup games and see what they’re up to.

I have very low expectations of Arteta using our kids from the academy. To a reasonable extent and only for this season, I don't blame him and that is because he came into this season with a ton pressure. This season was the do or die for his position as head coach considering results from the previous seasons and our offseason acquisitions.

Consequently, I knew he wasn't going to risk anything and that includes developing or transitioning players from the academy into the first team this season. He needed to produce a dominant season and youth development would have been a distraction, even though that has not been his forte. Considering our performance this season, I expect better from him next season in this regard.
