He's playing with a geriatric fabinho and a Henderson whose best days are long gone.
Amongst the three, he's the least I won't be upgrading instantly.

I don't think mane would have impacted much if he were.
Remember we had a similar situation two seasons back were it not for a late resurgence to secure top 4.
I remember him being dreadful then too

On the contrary our midfield was the foundation of our success.
The work wijnaldum, Henderson, Fabinho put in cannot be understimated..
Those three covered every blade of grass which enabled the likes of Trent, Salah to do the damage up top.
Not discounting Mane at all,
But put a 2019 wij and Hendo in this team and things would improve considerably.

On the issue of Thiago and fabinho,
well one of them has been playing as if he should be on the wheelchair and that's not been Thiago.

He can do a job. He's only needed for 1 or 2 monster games plus he's a decent penalty stopper

I'm not overly optimistic about PSG too but if we stay disciplined I think we have a fighting chance.
