Just like Iragbiji, Tinubu is a very heartless fellow who care about his family only.

Errr the article said no young people in the village.

So the person in the picture is an old man huh
Obakoolex:
Those people can lie for Africa, have been to the town
Despite being an indigene, Yusuf no longer lives in Ilu Aje. He left because of the deplorable state of the town and now learns a trade in a neighbouring community. According to Yusuf, the amount of stress he faced just to get water to bathe was reason enough to flee. He now only visits on Sundays to work on his farm and see his parents.

They have a representative. We need to do investigative journalism like this and shame the representative in charge of the LGA.…..When they showed some students sitting on the floor at Ogun State...the Labs for that particular school was renovated by an association I am part of...St Kizitos...the Ogun State Govt provided desks and chairs within a week. We need more investigative journalism. Force them to do right by the people by shaming them to do so.
cool

pantheraleo:
No. It's not Ìlú Ajé (Land of Wealth). It is Ìlú Àjé, or in full, ìlú àwon àjé (Land of Witches). The unbelievable name of the town has a well known history in Oyo Kingdom. I don't want to bore you with that story.
grin undecided shocked cool
Obakoolex:
I wonder what people gain from all this lies just to score cheap points.

ew years ago, I personally employed 3 guys in their late 20s from this said town working in my animal farm at ilora just 50 naira bike from ilu aje.
Ilora that the Op called bankless is just 5 minutes drive from Oyo town and most of its houses almost mixing up with oyo because they share boundary.
Now farm produce that they export from ilora weekly can feed the whole oyo state and that town is blessed with several multi millionaires and off course electricity, market, good houses and big churches (85% are Christian)
Now ilu aje is notoriously known for their JuJu practice so most of their youth stylishly claim ilora instead and reside there and oyo town because of civilization.
There's nothing you want in Oyo town that's not available or what do you expect from a place that have 5 higher institutions, a first class king and historical legacy.
cool

The one person that wanted to provide electricity died and the apparatus purchased for the product were all stolen.. This look like a hunted town that will try & bring down any form of development.
Re: Inside Ilu Aje, A Ghost Village In Oyo, Where Money Has No Value. by tafabaloo(m): 3:44am On Jan 20, 2023
Ilu aje..the land of the witches had its name changed to land of wealth sometime mid 90s.
The issue with the community is spiritual. Anyone that attempts to assist the town usually die in a mysterious way.
So, who is willing to die before his time.

Wawelexy:
Olasunkanmi Femi Saamson, Ilu Aje’s councillor, said he had been working to have the damaged drainage fixed since he assumed office, but his efforts were yet to yield any result.

Is it that the money allocated to his local council is not been paid all this while, or he doesn't know where to get those to fix it? All this politicians are same, from bottom to the top...

Life must be cruel with the inhabitants of this community, if by chance a young boy from this community find his way to Lagos, na bye bye be that... na their types Tinubu dey recruits for him agberoism company.. them full Oshodi well well... grin... I pray one big NGO company sees this thread or a big philanthropist, the story of that wretched community might just change for good.... undecided because waiting for government is like waiting for Amaka, they will surely disappoint except PO is elected...
Tell me the reason why God will not punish the councillor and the rest of the politicians representing these people? This is wicked.

I have read your post and compared it to the article, but I don't understand where all your complaints are coming from. Maybe you are on the wrong thread. When you say OP, didn't you see the source of the story? Your write up is full of offpoints

You sure you know your region very well or you are mixing it up with Lagos your no man's land? You better find something meaningful to do with your time if you are bored. That is just one tiny settlement out of hundreds in that axis alone so find something else for your d.ck measuring vanity.

We've seen enough of you in that region that's why no one takes you serious lately...

You can't do without mentioning lagos, I'm very sure you've abandoned your ilu aje village to claim lagosian??
Re: Inside Ilu Aje, A Ghost Village In Oyo, Where Money Has No Value. by Amalekki: 8:41pm On Jan 20, 2023
The simple point that keeps flying over your head is that an Oyo indigene won't drag ownership of Lagos with Lagosians. He can claim Lagosian by residence but will never disrespect them by calling it no mans land.

Even if a land is unoccupied or bought in Awka, we already know the owners of the "land".
