This is the digital age.
Contact the school and let them know how passionate you are to work with them.
Intimate them of your challenge and suggest an online interview.
Do not suggest a rescheduling as a first option.
If they do not agree to an online interview, that's when you can ask for a rescheduling.

'Invitation for interview' hope you are sure of appointment letter? Invitation for interview in the present day Nigeria is like somebody just want to waste your time. People who get job write cv after appointment or they don't write at all.

I advise you go to the interview if you are still in ondo state.then explain your challenges after the interview, I believe the position will be retained for you.don’t miss that opportunity because of NYSC.many that finished it over donkey years are still at home

You can be pro-active and go for the interview. If you get the job you can tell them you'll resume after POP.

From my experience with the Nigerian job market, those seeking jobs far outnumber the opportunities available. So the chance of asking them to reschedule another interview solely for you is extremely slim.

My only advice to you is that, don't lie, I repeat don't lie. Tell them the truth, and request for the interview date to be shifted by 1 month. Tell them you're winding up service in Feb, 2023, and that when done, you'll be coming down to Ondo. I repeat, don't lie, don't lie and don't leave Bayelsa in a haste. Finish and don't be in a haste, whatever is yours will never be denied. Shalom.

Tell them the truth that you are currently serving and in Bayelsa. If God says it is your job, they will wait for you. Thank them for the offer and tell them you can't honour the interview on Monday.
