Some comments are just funny.

An average Nigerian is corrupt and lawlessness is in our DNA. Lot of you shouting "in sane county" breaks traffic rules daily and some are even accomplice to traffic offenders.

Btw, the so called "sane countries" get there through collective sacrifices and being responsible.

If you want a sane Nigeria, be law abiding and obey the law whether it favours you or not.

I told my childhood friend in Lagos last week that my main reason to JAPA is to live in a clime where the system is not just fair and equitable but seen to be working.

That Judge/Justice/Law Officer hasn't been begotten in Nigeria, who will fine Buhari for such a civil infraction or offense.

Let me tell you something: What the British are very good at is creating a VENEER of fairness and equality.

Over their centuries of independence, their elite have learned that that is the best way to keep a lid on public discontent over the REAL massive inequality in society.

The inequality in Britain is unbelievable. You cannot wake up and say you want to buy land and build a house in Britain. Who dash you land? All the land has been taken up by a handful of aristocratic families since several centuries ago! You will drive miles and miles through their countryside, and ALL the land around you, after driving for several miles, belongs to one man. 'Lord' this or 'Earl' that or the 'Duke of' wherever. Inherited and passed down from his ancestors since the 1620s or earlier!

If you want to own a property, it will be already built property on land owned by one of these 'old money' aristocrats. The building might be 100 years old, and they'll still charge you £700,000 for it, with interest.

So why would the elite NOT create a system which HAS TO appear 'equal'?

If they didn't, the whole country (those they call the 'commoners') would rise up against them.

If you mistake the VENEER (''oh the Prime Minister was fined for speeding'') for real equality and justice, THEY GAT YOU.

In cross River former gorvenor liyel imoke was driving in his car reached traffic light stopped someone was coming because no much cars he didn't wait he wanted to beat traffic light as no police there liyel came out his car and the guy was now apologizing so don't assume only leaders break laws here... Even followers are worse I agree the system can be more efficient...
