Na the main wahala of Nigerian investments be this, especially bush investments. If Naira is not hammering you, then safety and security is a concern

One need to look into how to run this same thing for another African country where land is cheap and life is secure

Na the angu wen I dey look be dis now! The risk of investing in Nigeria particularly Agro business is too much. Worsestill, there is no investment protection from government. If bandits kidnap your workers, you are on your own or if cows hungry come devour your crops, na OYO!

I am reading @ OasisX investment plan on exporting tomatoes and it looks appealing but there many external factors out of our control that may impact that type. @OasisX, when you are ready, please quote me so you can break it down..make we see.

Yes. I have deducted harvesting and transportation cost and then I am transporting to a nearby factory or give a middle man. I am not processing. The stress will choke me. I am been waiting consistently for 5 years.



You are very very correct. But as you indicated, the price of a kg/tonne, keeps dropping. It is not stable. That's the problem about farmers. The price is not stable, then we have the stability of the naira. 600k per tonne in 2017 to 350k per tonne last year. The price dropped, then naira value dropped massively.



Another great angle. The international market. Last year, the farmer got way less than a dollar for a KG even though the dollar was at 500 naira then. 350 naira for a KG. The people at the supply chain (middlemen) make much more profit than we that planted. But, what about if I am the farmer and also the middleman. I need connect. I will look into this. (I can be like your friend and then supply to any western country I Japa to.)



I have a dream of working 4 months in a year and chill for the remaining 8 months. But I am super scared of Nigeria. Nigeria can happen to anyone, and you will think you figured it out when you have not even started.

I just mad small this year, I suppose no go. But I don dey on for like 1½ weeks now.

How can I have something, and I can't access it because of insecurity?

Reason I want to run away before them nab me, and I find myself begging European league section guys for ransom.

Kickback is official unofficially in Nigeria, almost everybody want's to make something from putting u on. There are only few people who help u for the sake of doing good nowadays.

I can't forget our late former neighbour(God rest his soul ) The man fixed my siblings for INEC Ad-hoc job in 2003 elections, he also fixed them for the 2006 National population census job as enumerators. That was how the elderly one between my siblings thought of appreciating him and bought some gift items for him. If u see the way the man reprimanded my siblings ehn....He said how much did they make from the ad-hoc job that they are wasting money buying something for him? He felt they were being fooolish and do not know how to manage money ...... He asked them to return the gifts to the seller and even offered to follow them to return it if the seller refuses to refund them. He was one of the good ones.
