Anybody but Tinubu to be honest but preferably anyone meek and 'controllable' who will not touch the fundamentally regressive 'one Nigeria' structure of our nation that favours a few even though common consensus today is that Nigeria can never make progress with her current governance structure.

Study both men's political leaning and you will know Tinubu is Buhari's greatest nightmare.

Buhari is conservative, gradualist, resistive to change and modernity, religiously dogmatic plus a believer in centrist and bloated governance that weilds ultimate power and then uses it partisanly to dispense patronage and 'stipend' arbitrarily. Buhari is a closet communist and many Northern leaders are the same.

Tinubu is 100% socio-capitalist. He believes in decentralised democracies, as practiced in the USA, that are driven by free market competition, aggressive development of society in conjunction with private sector cash, aggressive empowerment of SME sector as sacrosanct, automatic recourse to economic policy tweaks (low interest rates for example) to stimulate socio-economic growth and development for all Nigerians etc, etc.

Tinubu wants autonomy and more institutional robustness for every tier of governance to facilitate the deployment of power and resources where most needed without any centrist bottlenecks, bullying and bureaucracy. Etc, etc.

He has been an unambiguous and brave advocate of resources control plus independence and executive freedom for States and region since he became a Governor in 1999.

When Lagos funds were withheld by the vindictive Obasanjo, Tinubu did not beg or grovel like all governors, till today, who go to Aso Rock with begging bowls.

Instead Tinubu used innovative economic tools to keep Lagos afloat and thriving. Of course this will scare those who will be petrified he can do this for Nigeria.

They will worry they nd their children will lose power and control if Tinubu begins elevating ordinary Nigerians and turning our nation into one driven by merit and ability and not elitism and 'connection'.

Clearly, intelligent Nigerians who study systems of governance, and can merge that with leanings of leaders, will know why Tinubu is not favored by Buhari.

It is no different to how, to Nigeria's extreme detriment and regret, many made sure school teacher Shagari became President instead of Awolowo.

Awolowo was a proven leader with so much exemplary and pioneering leadership success, like Tinubu.

Many, intimidatingly, including the envious Obasanjo, found Awolowo too visionary, too assured, too clear in his thoughts and plans, too brilliant, too inovative, too pro-people ( something Northern elite hate) and too passionate about systems of governance and policies that emancipates and empowers ordinary Nigerians. They simply could not let the man become President.

How can some Northern leaders who like their people too docile, too oppressed, totally deprived and disenfranchised, their women uneducated and always about servitude to men ever feel comfortable with a leader who wants equal rights, opportunities and the potentials of progress and success for all Nigerians irrespective of ethnic, gender, religious or sectional status of Nigerians?

Bigots, after we have all seen Buhari in action, can keep fooling themselves PMB is against Buhari because "he knows Tinubu is not good" for Nigeria when intelligent, detribalised and exposed Nigerians know the very opposite is true.

They did a lot to ensure Awolowo never became President. Who is suffering for it till today after Awolowo is long gone and resting in peace?

The most intelligent and cerebral Nigerians know why they fear Tinubu same as those people know there is no way SW governors unanimously settled on what is shown below without the input and contribution of Tinubu.

Tinubu is a visionary and progressive leader and Nigerians should be ready to stand behind him uncompromisingly so we defeat the forces of regression who do not want a fair Nigeria that works for everyone as Tinubu made Lagos the fairest State in our nation bar non.
