Peter Obi May Step Down For Atiku, As Campaign Council Considers Option by sarrki(m): 2:45pm On Jan 24, 2023 |
Having realised that there is no path to victory in next month general election, the campaign council of the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi, is already considering how the former Anambra State Governor will step down for Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party candidate. WesternPost exclusively gathered from top officials of the Peter Obi campaign team that many of the associates of the Labour Party candidate and advisers have come to the realisation that the coming election is going to be a straight fight between APC and PDP. Our correspondent gathered that key officers of Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council met on Monday at top hotel in Abuja where they reviewed the state of their campaign so far and the prospect of Peter Obi following the emerging realities and lack of ground enthusiasm to Peter Obi from his campaign stops in the North and South West. Peter Obi and his running mate, Yusuf Datti-Ahmed have been welcome by almost empty stadia at his rallies so far which is a clear indication that his presidential bid lacks steam with real voters. The Labour Party candidate has carried on so far largely based on social media energy of many active young people on Twitter and Facebook. A top source who is in the know told WesternPost that apart from the reality of winning the election hitting home there is serious in-fighting in Obi’s camp where many of the vocal campaign officials are all jostling for relevance and protecting their territories. At the meeting that took place in Abuja on Monday, our source revealed that Valentine Ozigbo, PDP candidate in last Anambra State Governorship election and Peter Obi’s protege and Ndi Kato, a Spokesperson of the Labour Party Campaign Council agreed that their party and candidate do not have the number to win with a state by state analysis of the electoral map. The meeting analysed Atiku’s chances and the relationship of the PDP candidate and Peter Obi. The Labour Party candidate was the running mate to Atiku in 2019 Presidential election won by President Muhammadu Buhari and APC. According to our source: “Peter Obi and his people are planning to align with Atiku in the coming election. Key officers of Peter Obi’s team met yesterday in Abuja. They were analysing Atiku’s chances. There is some realization in the Obi camp that they can’t win and want to align. They mentioned how North-East will be split, that Sokoto Governor, the Director-General of Atiku’s Campaign Council won by his own second term election with 200 votes and can’t guarantee the state Atiku the votes from Sokoto. For them it is better to work with Atiku to win instead of dissipating South East votes which Obi can get on Igbo sentiments but will not be anywhere near winning the presidential election.” The also also revealed that Obi’s team postponed the Labour Party rally in Adamawa State which is Atiku’s home state in view of the possible alignment talks between PDP and LP. On the in-fighting within Obi’s camp, our source said Ndi Kato and Aisha Yesufu, an activist who gained national prominence on the back of the Bring Back Our Girls Campaign and now one of Obi’s main backers don’t see eye to eye. The two women fell out over issues of money. “Ndi and Aisha Yesufu are having very bad fight over money and some personal stuffs,” our source said https://westernpost.ng/exclusive-peter-obi-may-step-down-for-atiku-as-campaign-council-considers-option/?fbclid=IwAR1rK0IgAxbbkh0tfcz8nCNEsE4PuPhDbDIIYskrO-zJUBA81LqyOvA9mgA 1 Like 1 Share |

He has no choice. That man just got no liver. He ran away from PDP defeat only to face imminent defeat in the general election.
His obidient zombies will be so disappointed except the one from that dot in the circle.
But how will Obidient who claimed Tinubu is old now campaign for Atiku that is older?
Interesting days lie ahead, just hope SE will not experience vote apathy because they will be so disappointed that their man once again jilted them just the way he abandoned the Ojukwu party.
It will be so annoying that the SE will now have to queue behind Atiku that stole their mandate of 23 years of hard labour for PDP.
Let's see how some middle belts like Kaduna South, Taraba, Benue Niger, and Kogi will welcome this news after their perceived oppression and dominance by the Fulani in this dispensation. Again comes the issue of RUGA and Fulani herdsmen where the middle belters are seen to have received the highest casualties.
In all, it is too late to prevent APC from winning, if they like let Peter Obi and Ohaneze collapse their structure for PDP, they will still lose.
Presently, am observing OBJ and Afenifere for making yet another blunder 5 Likes 3 Shares |

Sarrki unless you understand your role in society, you can never make any meaningful contribution. According to the Greeks there are three types of people on earth, - the idiots, the tribesmen, and the citizens. Studies have shown that only 10% of Africans are "citizens". The remaining 90% are either "tribesmen " or "idiots" . When the Greeks used the word "idiot", they did not use it as a curse word. Idiots are people who just don’t care. If they write exams, they will cheat. If they are in government they will steal. An "idiot" does not care at all, if he eats bananas he throws the peels anywhere instead of putting them in a trash bin. "IDIOTS" do not contribute to community development. Even when they see or know about something that will harm others in the community they won't report it. When they see/know/have something that will benefit their community they won't share. "IDIOTS" will sell their votes for peanuts. According to the Greeks, some societies have more "idiots" than "tribesmen" and "citizens". The next set of people are "tribesmen ", these are people that look at everything from a tribal point of view. These are people that believe in you only if you are part of their tribe. When the Greeks talk about "tribes", it’s not just about ethnicity, they also consider religion as a "tribe". A great percentage of Africans are "tribesmen", because they view everything from the point of view of their tribes. They trust only their tribesmen. You can now understand why Ihordspy has this cognitive dissonance. The last group are "citizens". These are people that like to do things the right way. They will respect traffic light rules even if no one is watching them. They drive within speed limits. They respect the laws, won’t cheat in exams. In government they won’t steal. They are compassionate and give to others to promote their wellbeing. "Citizens" often promote projects that benefit everyone. The Greeks called this group the "citizens". Some countries have more "citizens" than "tribesmen" and "idiots" while others have so many "idiots" . This was what led us to our present condition and may also lead us to the next disaster waiting to happen. People like you are the problem of this country. 4 Likes |

That will surely be the end of his political carrier if he do that obi have more chances than atiku who have a very serious court case with damaging evidence atiku can even get disqualified at the end of the day if the judiciary decides not to be bias so why should obi stoop so low to step down for such a very corrupt sinking man? 1 Like |

For them it is better to work with Atiku to win instead of dissipating South East votes which Obi can get on Igbo sentiments but will not be anywhere near winning the presidential election.”
The also also revealed that Obi’s team postponed the Labour Party rally in Adamawa State which is Atiku’s home state in view of the possible alignment talks between PDP and LP.
“Ndi and Aisha Yesufu are having very bad fight over money and some personal stuffs,” our source said

Ttalk: He has no choice.
Presently, am observing OBJ and Afenifere for making yet another blunder You've spoken very well and reasonably too!!! |

I pray he makes that mistake, BAT will win automatically and Kwankwaso will position himself for 2031, isn't that the sane mistake the SE aspirants in APC made during the primaries, we all recall when they were saying if it couldn't come to the South east it should remain in the North thereby indirectly supporting Lawan , Obi is a trader so it's possible. We all know most Zombidients are PDP apologists. |

The OP is nairaland chief fake news carrier and one who hates the Igbos and easterners in general. One Nigeria by mouth only. It's only a baby that will believe any post made by the OP. There is always a hidden agenda and I don't bother myself reading these kind of post. |

After running a quick, thorough background check, the following were observed;
1. This story actually first emanated from an online news outlet known as "WESTERN POST".
2. The said "WESTERN POST" is owned by a certain gentleman called Tunde Rahman.
3. Tunde Rahman was a former editor with ThisDay newspapers, before embarking on running his own news publishing outfit — Western Post Newspaper, a weekly publication that centers around activities within the South West.
4. Mr Rahman was appointed spokesperson for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2016, and therefore, is a strong and dependable ally of Tinubu and the APC.
5. If a man like Festus Keyamo could be pushing out such news from his official handle, it speaks HUGE VOLUMES about how he earned for himself the exalted title of "SAN" in the first instance.
THIS IS FOR THE NOTICE OF THE PUBLIC.
Be watchful and discerning of what you consume out there, in the name of "news". Remember, it's the political season!
Thank you. |
