That Man United first goal against Man City is offside. Make we just allow things slide. Normally, the linesman should have raised his flag immediately Rashford made his run like Saka did today.

Actually, it's not a debate of whether it is offside or not. The main problem is inconsistency of the officials.

Sanchez's goal in our FA cup win stood despite Ramsey being offside.

Everton's goal against United last season was ruled out because an Everton player who was offside adjusted his leg so the ball could pass through.

United's goal against City stood..

And now, the inconsistency showed today.

I slept off after the s first half ; but the first half performance we had wasn't bad at all considering we played against city wey carry all him big players come.

Going through the Internet now, I saw a clip of Odegaard fuming at Lokonga for his nonsense positioning after coming on; Odegaard had to foul the city player to break-up play when Lokonga could've stolen the ball off the city player if he was well positioned as Odegaard expected.

We really need to go all out of Caicedo or any other decent midfielder this january ; we can't afford to wait till end of season o. Lokonga's mentality is just weak and honestly he doesn't belong anywhere near what Arteta is trying to build. He plays too casually for my liking.

While Awilo had a bad game, I was very disappointed by Odegaard's shocking reaction on the pitch, especially when you consider he is the captain of this team. I am not holding forth for his performance but the pitch was not the right place to throw your team mate under the bus. He easily could have waited for a break to have a teaching moment with the kid, not the silly tantrum he was throwing on the pitch against Awilo.

Awilo is a young player who needs tutelage and support to help as he develops and what Odegaard displayed on the pitch was very irresponsible in my opinion. He has successfully pitched the young kid against Arsenal fans and this may totally mar any confidence he has left...many, never recover from that. We have seen several games where Odegaard was poor and looked different, even before he became captain and no one, including hot head Xhaka gave him an earful.

Odegaard had a unique opportunity to exhibit true leadership qualities and he failed woefully in my opinion. Young players need support as they try to work through their mistakes, not what Odegaard displayed on the pitch today. I hope Awilo can use this experience to motivate himself and work on his game.

We shouldn't have gotten him in the first place but eating him out like that in public was bad. He needs join a team on loan that can offer him competitive playing time so he can build his confidence and mentality.

I just knew that Partey would have injury since it's unlike Arteta to sub him out at halftime when we were playing beautifully. Cos there's no logical reason why he would be subbed out just to put in Lokonga that he never rated this season

God abeg ooo, make last season no repeat itself embarassed embarassed🙏🙏🙏

That boy is entirely useless
He was gesturing him before he shouted at him, someone with basic football knowledge should understand what odegaard was trying to say
Odegaard must be frustrated to react like that

No na
Arteta may plan to remove him at half time doesn't mean he's injured unless we will offer more than for caicedo

Me and you watch Odegaard week in week out and you are renowned for reminding us when he is indifferent and having poor games. At anytime, have we seen Partey, Xhaka or Gabu yell at him. There is no excuse for Odegaard’s behavior. If another player did that, I would care less but your captain? at one of your young players? That’s a big no!

Again, this is my opinion.

Lol.... You've certainly not been understanding Arteta and his doings be that grin

Arteta plan to remove him at halftime against Man city? He rather wouldn't have started him at all than to give him only 45min

Just type "Partey injury" on Google. That's exactly what I typed this morning to allay my fears it wasn't injury. Alas, I was right embarassed

What ever we do we shouldn't renew elneny contract
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jodera:
Spy360:
The bolded is the problem I have with you. Newcastle may not have spent much, but they have acquired players over the past two transfer windows who have helped the cause and most of them are on big wages.

Before you begin to turn amala, know that I have not ruled out the coach's effort which is highly commendable but saying it's solely based on that is cheap talk.

Dan Burn 13m
Matt Target 15m
Bruno Guimares 36m
Alex Isak 63m
Nick Pope 10m
Chris Wood 25m
Sven Botman 35m
Keiran Trippier Free

It is rare for a mid table club to invest such amount and also to attract such calibre of players without paying them high. These guys were direct upgrade of their first team in addition to the likes of Willock, Saint-Maxim, Callum Wilson, Almiron etc.

So while it is clear the work Eddie Howe has done on the team, it will be cheap to say that a good transfer business did not contribute, which is the effect of Arab investment.
This is the amala turning I certainly dey taya for your side. Just months ago, you said this which I and Oyindamola countered

Spy360:
They got a good coach and bought some quality players with heavy spending and salaries. However I don't believe that model will last beyond a couple of years.
Emphasis on the words "heavy spendings. Two months down, you've shifted "Newcastle not paying high and talking about quality players"

Note, we weren't debating about player's quality around November but Heavy spendings due to Arab money. As you've turned the Amala to quality and caliber players today, that's the template you'll now use In debating and attacking me months to come.

Exactly how you did with Nketiah and Jesus!!

I no wan go any further. I just wanted to show you how a great amala turner and debate shifting king you are.

Happy weekend to you Sir!
