We from Lagos do not subscribe to the idea of a Mega City plan.
Jakande had a blueprint for Lagos which Tinubu inherited
Obasanjo cannot sit down in Abuja and come up with a masterplan for any state without participation of the state
Tinubu and his people came up with the phrase mega City and held discussions between LASG and the FG
The idea was some level of integration with Ogun state which would also raise constitutionality questions and of course the legal backing required e.g. EXCLUSIVE LIST items as well as access to FG. assets in Lagos e.g.Ikorodu Road,Western Avenue etc
e.g. It is not possible to have a FTZ and several other things without FG consent or cooperation. The port at Lekki,refinery and Eko Atlantic as well as the Lagos Badagry expressway all need FG permission
The BRT lanes on FG roads needed FG permission and Tinubu certainly did the BRT lanes on Ikorodu road. I will not put myself in the Tinubu built Lagos camp but will never support lies
It is amusing the Tinubu supporters cannot defend such an amateurish attack,empty vessels!

Obasanjo did not design a master plan for Lagos ,if they did who was to fund and implement it and What are the specific elements that the FG will do?

For your information, I am not a Lagosian, but I worked in Lagos with a private pharmaceutical products distribution company for years. So, I know this aspect of Lagos very well. This, cannot be seen anywhere else in Nigeria, atleast I am certain of SouthWest

Well, I'm pointing out to you that phcs have existed before LCDAs were ever created and what you showed with your links is tokenism at best.
If Niger state has phcs in every ward without having LCDAs and Lagos does to, what difference has LCDAs made?
It's simply a case of reinventing the wheel or overbloated govt which ultimately leads to wastages.

It is just a report that never saw the light of the day. Obasanjo also promised heaven and earth to turn Otta and Obafemi Owode to paradise in those reports too.

What happened was that he commissioned Prof. Mabogunje to write those report but none of the recommendations was truly developed.

Even Guardian news wrote a column on why the report failed back then. This is just like a broke man promising to buy a mansion for his gf. That report remain in the paper and none of it saw the light of the day.

The same government and party has been in power in Lagos since 1999. All the progress in Lagos since 1999 can be attributed to the party in power, not the federal government. So what federal government blueprint are you people talking about and how has it been implemented in Lagos?
