Don't you get it ? Taking old notes to the bank isn't the problem but rather getting the new notes and most importantly, getting the new notes regularly 1 Like |

Iamgrey5: You can use bank transfer or POS to pay your bills, you do not need a lot of new Naira notes I am also aware many ATMs are dispensing new notes 6 Likes |

Iamgrey5: On a serious note, you the city dwellers, why do you need the new notes? Why do you need cash? Just go to bank, deposit the old note in the bulk room , which will be credited into your account, walk away with your mobile wallet app and use the app for all transactions. Let the cash be moved to villages please. 5 Likes |

kingsways: So you will use bank transfer to send money to taxi local drivers, road side huckers, at local restaurants, to mallams selling Suya, local meat sellers, etc? I don't want to believe government are doing this to curb votes buying during election, because it doesn't make any sense. Politicians are the least to suffer a shortage of new naira notes. Even ordinary rich people are getting it in abundant, let alone Politicians who have alot of friends, families and associations at CBN and other commercial banks. Is like you'd lost touch with reality. I saw hell since yesterday despite having money in my accounts. Spents hours at banks ATMs on Saturday without getting a single naira note. Anyway, not surprise, some of you guys are kids who are still being fed by your parents. A sensible CBN governor would've simply discourage cash transactions by making ATM dispense lower denominations, heavy charges on OTC transactions and aggressive sensitization of locals on the uses of electronic transactions. 90% of printed notes should be #100 or less, with this method, people would be forced to make electronic fransfer by themselves. 4 Likes |

invinzible1:I think you are the one with coconut head. As far as your money is in your bank account, why can't you use mobile apps for your transaction. After all the CBN allow you to get 20 k for minor transactions such as taxi fare. I don't see any reason why some people are crying because of this policy. If you really have a legitimate source of your money I don't see the reason why you are afraid of taking your money to the bank. Tinubu knows that the source of his money is questionable that is why he is crying up and down. 3 Likes |

BATified2023:yes! Nigerians are just evil, some of them want to withdraw 100k or more than 200k instead of the 20k the ATM is dispensing. Why do you even need more than 20k sef? Use the 20k to pay for taxi while you use mobile apps for other transactions. 1 Like |
