And they did not get there by killing people. Killing bad leaders is nice, but it does not change anything much...it is polices , policies, and people's will to implement, and even then a long period of hardship.

A big problem in Nigeria is that we think that good governance involves government giving us a 50kg bag of rice at N2000 a bag. Nothought for the people who grew the rice, who transported the rice and who are selling the rice. Somehow goverment will pay them...from monies that do not exist...which means we take more loans.

All those developed countries....like Russia, Japan, China, and so on..went through periods of harship to get to where they are...and they did not get there by expecting government to take care of them without any idea as to how they would get the money to do so.

Do you no why China progresses while Ghana seems like Nigeria? The best answer is the death penalty for corrupt officials or persons in China. Some persons need to be killed and the idea needs to be consistent through the years in order for the country to grow. If Nigeria should make that single law of death penalty for corrupt people, she'd grow and develop exponentially fast. USA is the world power state built on the blood of millions over the years. Same can be said of UK, China, France etc. Life is a warfront where some people are unfortunately booties and victims, while the others grow at the expense of the former.

Like the other guy told you- what drives development are right policies timely and properly executed. Not just killing corrupt leaders. China has been executing corrupt leaders for decades but up to the 80s China remained poor, even poorer than Nigeria. But when China started using the one child policy to guide its demography, and also when it started opening up its economy the country started growing. Demography and opening up of the Chinese economy are the two most potent killer apps that lifted China up, not killing corrupt leaders.

Yes when I look at their performance in comparison to these politicians...these politicians can't even complete 35kms of road in years but Dem IBB built a whole city from the ground in just 5 years , built third mainland, carried out massive rural electrification and rural water supply with less than a quarter of what these politicians spend

Sani Abacha would most probably pass for the best President of Nigeria if you place his tenure side by side that of Buhari
However, Sani Abach was actually a Military Head of State & not a President.
