1.Ghana.

Yeah, JJ got rid of some past army leaders,...some, not all. And even then, Ghana today is not that far ahead of Nigeria...infact there were mass protests against the goverment over a year ago. Ghana is also not a developed country.

2. China.


As for china...it was not killing millions of people under Mao's misguided programmes that led to China prospering. It was the decision made, in the late 1970's, to pursue free market economics, as well as to invest and allow for investment in industrial growth and development...fueled by one thing Mao did right...investing in vocational and technical education.

Also, improvements in tech, as well as the growth of the world economy allowed many Western companies to take advantage of China and its cheap labour.

The result....China's economy grew. EVEN THEN...china still has a poverty issue.

And they did not get there by killing people. Killing bad leaders is nice, but it does not change anything much...it is polices , policies, and people's will to implement, and even then a long period of hardship.

A big problem in Nigeria is that we think that good governance involves government giving us a 50kg bag of rice at N2000 a bag. Nothought for the people who grew the rice, who transported the rice and who are selling the rice. Somehow goverment will pay them...from monies that do not exist...which means we take more loans.

All those developed countries....like Russia, Japan, China, and so on..went through periods of harship to get to where they are...and they did not get there by expecting government to take care of them without any idea as to how they would get the money to do so.

Yakubu Gowon was not a President and neither was Abacha. Both were illegal as per our constitution.
