How is the policy a good govt policy?

What has atiku said that is feasible and practicable?

When did buhari and emefiele who have been oppressing nigerians since 2015 automatically begin to care about the welfare of Nigerians?
this policy will seriously reduce corruption.

All the the money Agberos has been collecting and hand over to MC OLUMO for more than 7 years, All the money IYA LOJA has been keeping for her deranged father's campaign, all the money Tinubu son has been collecting from lekki toll gate for the past 8 years. Will be useless by 10th of February.

We have not been able to stock up on food, not because we don’t have money but because we don’t have cash.
My wife went to bank today and applied for 50k, but she was only given 1k. This policy is killing

Nigerians would remember that on this matter, Tinubu was the first to speak up on the side of the Nigerian masses who are suffering just to have access to their own money.

When Tinubu is fighting a good cause others are relaxing, yet they are angry that he wants to become the President of Nigeria in this singular attempt.

Tinubu was more concerned about money and fuel that would be use by people to come and vote for him.

Let me explain this to you, after 10th of this month, old Naira note will cease to be a legal tender, you can't transact with it, but if you still have it in your custody, banks will still accept it till 17th

Then the aim is defeated na,it means politicians can still pay people with it and these people will take it to the bank and deposit it but can't spend it so it still goes into their account and they are still influenced
Re: Why CBN Shouldn’t Extend Naira Swap Deadline – Atiku by MasterTeeUSA: 12:37am On Feb 02, 2023
which means politicians can give old notes and buy votes with old notes that can be returned to the banks after the deadline lol...Policy never made much sense but it has mopped up currencies into the banks. In India, after few years, currency notes increased again because people withdrew the funds from banks.

Lubumbashi:
The CBN governor has calmed all nerves by saying banks will continue to accept old notes even after the deadline so no problem.

Answer this
What do you understand by naira redesign and what was the reason the CBN gave for it?

Why should there be a need for further extension and how can the CBN ensure circulation of the new notes according to the op?

What does the welfare of Nigerians have to do with naira redesign and how does not redesigning the naira enhance the welfare of Nigerians?

Lastly, how did Buhari and Emefiele oppress Nigerians since 2015 and what was the result of their oppression if any?

I always learn from experts that to listen to the common man on the street.

A pundit who writes for Punch said he doubts the CBN carried out a stimulation of what would happen in the event a redesign and Naira swap was introduced when it did. If it had, it would have foreseen the mess on ground.

The Naira dropping from mid 600 to a dollar to 740 today has simply made life hellish for the average Nigeria, as though things weren't already disastrous enough.

Anyway, Buhari would soon be gone and Emefiele by next year.
The pundit is just pandering to public opinion.
The whole hullabaloo is as a result of hoarding. Even CBN gov said it yesterday that banks have compromised.
Where CBN supposed to simulate banks compromising?
The naira has been dropping for various reasons from time. So, it's just giving a dog a bag name to blame the current redesign for that

In India, demonetization ended counterfeit currencies being smuggled from mafia of neighboring countries.

It also permanently pushed a large chunk into online transactions. Indian government thereafter opened Jan Dhan accounts and launched Unified Payments Interface (UPI); an Indian competitor to Google Pay and RuPay card (Indian challenger to Mastercard and Visa).
Since then, 68% of Indian transactions happen bank to bank online.

India never came back to cash levels of 2016 since then as online payments became new normal.

I thought Buhari was just a “screen-door” on a submarine (a useless man), I didn’t know that the witless man is also an ungrateful modafucka. Buhari should be on his crusty knees licking jagaban’s feet till the end of time.

Something tells me that the useless man is now working for Atiku. But Insha Allah, they all will be put to shame when the time is right.

May God bless Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He spoke out cos his plans of buying and inducing selfless and poor nigerian voters with illicit funds he stockpiled these past years have been thwarted.

Why didnt he speak out when fulani herdsmen where and r still on rampage killing innocent farmers on a daily..

From the last release by the CBN, old notes will be accepted after the deadline but must be at the CBN, not a commercial bank anymore.

This how they hype the NiN stuff for us till today the country is still not secured....

And dere are people you can't even touch you can only bark since the currency swap are politicians not paying for mobilization or you think say na paper dem dey give people wey dem dey mobilize...

You are joking my good sir. Every single account is monitored by the NFIU. The threshold is higher for business accounts but they are monitored too. I don't know who told you it only works for savings accounts. No one may come looking for you but if you're transacting above 5 million monthly they have investigated you already whether you know it or not. As I've said, there is a reason people have been hoarding cash instead of puttingit into the bank.
