Osogbo-Ikirun/Kwara State Boundary Road: Governor Adeleke Mobilizes Contractor Back To Site

••••Governor Adeleke to Inspect Road project next week




The administration of Senator Ademola Adeleke has mobilized the contractor handling the Osogbo-Ikirun/Kwara State boundary road back to site to resume work on the project immediately after many years of abandonment.

This was disclosed by the Coordinating Director, Ministry of Works and Transport, Engr Olusola Ajao during a chat in his office.

The Osogbo-Ikirun/Kwara State boundary road was awarded some years ago but was not completed causing hardship to residents and especially motorists who ply the road on a daily basis.

Engr. Ajao said the State Governor magnanimously ordered the remobilization of the contractor back to site and commence the work so as to ease the suffering of motorists who ply the road on a daily basis.

He said the Governor has specifically ordered the contractor to ensure a speedy progress of the project and see that it gets to an advance stage within the next two months.

In his words, "I am delighted to announce to you that the administration of Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke has graciously approved the mobilization of the contractor handling the Osogbo-Ikirun/Kwara State boundary road back to sight.

"The Governor has charged the contractor to move speedily on the project and ensure that work reach an advance stage in the next two months to ease the surfering of residents and motorists plying the road.

"I use the medium to urge road users and residents to cooperate with the contractors while the job is being carried out, I also express deep appreciation to the people friendly Governor, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke for mobilizing the contractor back to site after many years of abandonment.

Meanwhile, the contractor has resumed work in earnest.

Governor Adeleke is to visit the project site to inspect progress of work by next week.

That said, I commend Adeleke on this. I passed through the road few weeks back and I was disappointed at what I saw, I expected the road to be completed by Oyetola but no.

I read applaud Governor Ademola Adeleke on this massive gigantic projects in Osun State in his tenure. This is a good development. I really appreciate your effort to finish all the projects Aregbesola abandoned in his government. Good one here. This was how seyi Makinde finish all the projects Ajimobi abandoned.
