I doubt it. Don't you see them organizing rallies? I was at the banks today and saw what people are going through. In first bank no money at all. In Polaris bank you can only collect 5,000 on their ATM machine and just 2,000 on counter. The branch manager came out to use ATM and collected 20,000 but customer s with Polaris ATM cannot collect more than 5,000. Since they had just 200,000 the money got finished and that's all. Did you see politicians queuing at the bank?

By the, why do you want to have more than 20k cash? Whatever transaction can be done with mobile apps. The 20k is enough for your taxi fare and offering in the church.

I want to believe you are not a family man who has children and dependamts. No bank is giving 20,000 but 2,000 if you read my comment very well. It was only the bank manager that did it and I want to believe she was withdrawing for another person but she could easily get her money inside the bank without coming out to use ATM machine.

We must support this policy so that corruption can reduce in this country. Many of this corrupt politicians don't usually save their money in their bank account. They prefer to build an illegal bank in their houses which is full of illicit cash. Now that they are forced to deposit their money in the banks their nyash will open and stealing will reduce drastically.

Deal with reality not theory

There are 50 million BVNs in Nigeria.Not everyone has a bank account.Even those with accounts are queuing for hours. We heard what happened at UNIBEN
Borno has 27 local government areas. Only 2 have banks
It is bigger than the whole SE in landmass.
That is not the environment for cashless
That is the situation in many rural areas of the North
Learn how to LISTEN to others who don't have your experience

Many Nigerians are not literate and don't have smartphones
Network coverage across the country is poor with many black spots especially in the North and rural areas

So he policy is good in theory but needs to work in practice
Right now it is not working
Unless you are living in a hole you must hear how people are suffering
That cannot be the aim

iam in the north. Even my mother refused to open an account, but today she has opened an account because of this policy. The cashless policy is the best if really we want to fight corruption.
Drugs money will not come in cash again, therefore it will be very easy to identify drug lords in this country.

That is not the issue here.At any rate currency change is completely different from cashless policy they are completely different things

If you are in the North is not true that there are no banks in 25 LGAs out of 27 in Borno?

Secondly, I agree that there are some local government that doesn't have bank but it will be very hard to see a family without one phone. Mind you, it is not necessary that it must be browsing phone. You can make your transaction with touchligh phone.
The issue of network,we will improve as time goes on , same goes to the issue of illiteracy.
Let me ask you this question: Do you believe that some politicians has stashed ( keep cash) money for the purpose of this election? If your answer is yes, how are we going to reduce that or even stop that?
