ICPC Arrests Osun FCMB Manager Over New Naira Notes Policy Violation by 123456789O(op): 8:54pm On Feb 03, 2023

ICPC Compliance Team in Oshogbo has busted an FCMB in Osogbo, Osun State where some ATMs were loaded with cash with their wrappers un-removed, thus preventing the cash from being dispensed. The Team therefore directed that the wrappers be removed, and the cash loaded properly.

However, when a follow-up visit was undertaken the following day to ascertain the level of compliance, the Team discovered that one of the ATMs was still loaded with the wrappers un-removed.

The Operation Manager of the Bank was arrested and taken in for questioning.

That is why PMB is requesting for 7 days after calling out the banks as inefficient. PMB definitely has security reports on this kind of unpatriotic conduct of the banks and bankers.

Trust me guys, this news is as dumb as hell. Using bullet on a fly just to display that they are working and looking for who to blame. So an ATM custodian loading cash without tearing the wrapper is the cause of Nigeria’s problem?
They should release the innocent person asap. Very wicked and senseless arrest

Most people won't understand your comment Because they don't have ATM experience. It was probably warehoused to be loaded later because CBN isn't issuing much to banks, hence they'd load few intermittently to reduce total ATM downtime. They would still release the person.

I worked in bank for years and I operated Atm machines, what happened here is ‘ managing of cash so as to last long for specific period of time, those cash on strap are intentionally left that way so as to reserve for other days, these is practice whenever there is no sufficient atm loadable cash in the branch. Let CBN release more cash to branches
