They include; The deputy governorship candidate, 3 senatorial candidates and 7 candidates for House of Representatives.

* 14 out of the 19 candidates for the State House of Assembly also defected to APC.

The Labour Party, LP, at the weekend lost its deputy governorship candidate, three senatorial candidates and seven candidates for House of Representatives to the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Zamfara State.

They are Alhaji Sule Dansadau, the party’s deputy governorship candidate; Yahaya Audi Mafara, the Zamfara West senatorial candidate.

Others are Alhaji Sani Yusuf Danmasami, Zamfara Central senatorial candidate; and Engineer Adamu Yakubu for the Zamfara North senatorial seat.

DAILY POST reports that seven party candidates for the House of Representatives and 14 out of the 19 candidates for the State House of Assembly also defected to APC.

They were received by the former Governor of the state and the chairman of Zamfara 2023 governorship campaign council at an organized defection ceremony at Talata-Mafara Local Government Area of the state.

Speaking at the ceremony, the state chairman of APC, Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani, represented by his deputy, Alhaji Hassan Marafa Damri, expressed delight over their resolve to join the APC, which he described as a plus to the party.

Recall that the defection took place a few days after the Labour Party had its campaign rally in the state.

The deputy governorship candidate,

7 candidates for House of Representatives,

All decamped.

Just few days after the presidential rally in the state. Reality dawned on them I guess, after witnessing the horrific, disastrous, scary rally turnout where security men and pure water sellers are more than the party-crowd.

If na you self, you go lose hope.

Labour Party aims at the Presidency.
Most Gubernatorial candidates of LP only want to ride on the popularity of Peter Obi after enhancing the structures of LP in various states.

Many candidates under LP would still be lucky to attain various elective positions across Nigeria.

From no structure to formal gov and current gov receiving Labour party candidates.

No matter the defection game been played cos of the money bags politician, Obi already had his targeted audience and this are not politicians.

Obi target is the southern part of the north, cos no matter what you do to core north, they won't vote for you. Let tinubu, Atiku and kwakwoso sort eachother in core north.
