I love this, POS business is the latest legit fraud taking over Nigeria and they do collaborate with banks that is why ATM is always down

POS operators put exorbitant charges on transactions because they actually buy the naira notes from bank tellers and fuel station managers. So you expect them to pay 6K to get 100K, then come to their business centers and give you the money for free?

Go and set up a task force to enforce free and swift delivery of the notes by banks first before facing POS operators. Useless bastards!

God forbid, edo state na anyhow state. Last week Friday at Ramat roundabout I spent 3k to withdraw 10k. Govt should please tackle this new level of financial insurgency before it gets out of hand. Nigeria is filled with very wicked and corrupt sets of people and they are all quick to blame government.

Did anyone force you to go to POS. Don’t u know they buy the money too. so how is it their fault. Imagine u going to the same pos Nd they tell u there is no cash, what then will you do

Now everyone can see that these is a bad policy at these time. The poor always suffer

The first person to be blamed is Presidency.
Second is Emefiele.

You withdraw about 2 Trillion Naira of old notes and inject about 500 billion of new notes thereby creating scarcity.

The bank took advantage of the scarcity to make money out of it to sell to billionaire.

Most POS have even closed up. The few that operates bought the cash from the bank.

So, why chasing shadows.

Though, some of the POS operators are very greedy. I still have one who charges 1,000 for 10,000. Meanwhile, she bought the cash from the same bank that other POS operators are charging twice as much.

Right now I don't even have any cash with me. I wanted to buy food earlier today and I told them I want to transfer but they said transfer attracts a fee of N100, I get choice? I tried to withdraw from POS and they said 2k withdrawal goes for N400, we finally agreed for N300 and when I tried to withdraw with my card, it was declined. See eh, this country don tire me, nothing is just working. No cash, and to pay with debit card is another problem on its own. Only God knows how I go chop tomorrow

Are you losing focus. What are you doing about bank within your jurisdiction that are hoarding and selling to highest biďder. Why not deal with the root causes than chasing shadows, whereas you know what to do. Please don't get the masses infuriated cos of those doing their legit biz.
