I went to driving school today and meant with the guys there. I told them I want to learn manual. Even when some of them was telling me manual is fading out that majority of people are preferring to learn auto and they said some people who learn manual also came back to learn auto.

My reason was that if I can learn manual I can learn automatic, because I have heard that from people, I choose 5 days learning and they said 30minus & 1 hour has different prices, but I choose the 5 days 30 minutes, although I bargain the price. I filled the form and the driving session started.

Few minutes that we started I already giving up, I feel like not learning again. My concentration was not even there it was tidius to remember all this I need to do. Because I was forgetting all the things the guy told me before we started.

Here are my problem.
1. Understanding the pendel. Little press the car if jecking. When I applied brake it stop sudden and the vehicle will off abruptly.
2. Losing focus and what to do when I'm tens specially when I am approaching junction or a big car.
3. I am more concerned with the cars at my back or around me because I was moving slowly. The guy keep telling me to forget about them and focus on my side. Is document I filled said I will be the one to pay for damages incurred during the session.
3, knowing how and when to change the gear. I haven't mastered it and I feel it's too hard with the calculations. When I was filling the form there was some disclaimer on the document that I will be held responsible for any damages. I also learnt that the break is sometimes press. It was then I understand that the guy can press the brake from his own side of the car. Although I didn't tell him but I know.

Handling the wheel. To make a turn accurately on the road or control the wheel is really off.

Ideally, for versatility, manual is learnt with. If you can drive manual, you can easily drive automatic without any further training. As in enter and drive.
You are doing the right thing learning with manual so keep up with it. But I advice when you are ready to buy, get an automatic.

It's normal to feel discouraged after your first few attempts at learning manual driving but if you stick at it, you'll eventually get it.
It's normal don't beat yourself.
Just ready your mind say them go abuse you tire especially if your coach na old man.
Even if you don't get the manual very well at the end, it's still fine, just take note of all the other lessons cause they still apply to automatic transmission. The only difference here is the gear. It's much more easier. You don't need more than a day to learn auto. The other days will probably just be spent mastering the steering and other things

If you start with manual gear then you can easily move to automatic gear but if you drive automatic first then it will be hard to drive manual again.

Manual cars still send faster than Automatic in Europe
There are more 2022 manual cars than Automatic, so it depends on what sell in each country more.

You allowed people to brainwash you that those who learnt only automatic don't know how to drive. That's total rubbish talk.

Manual is phasing out and so sef there will be no need for automatic because AI (driver less) cars are just so fast rising that a time will come and you just have to jump in and AI will do it's thing.

We are in a part of the world where the older generation believe that their own or style is always the best.

Save yourself the stress, go learn automatic and drive. Till you die you may never have need to drive a manual except you wan suffer yourself.

I learn how to drive with my car and in less than 2weeks I travelled with it to the east.you just have to be confident when driving without fear

I started learning with manual despite all the discouragements and the first time I handled an automatic, I struggled for like 30mins and that was it, I became as good as any other person.

I learnt with manual with my own vehicle. D next day I was on the road.lol. but it definitely was strange. I no sabi any driving school.na street. Been driving for 3yrs now.its fun if u ask me.

The sweetest car to drive is a manual car with sound engine and gear, sleep no go catch you for steering .

You have alternative in terms of brake failure , the movement of manual over automatic is unbelievable, if you can ride a bicycle , you can ride a bike with clutch, then a a manual car , in 30 minutes you can drive automatic car Never give up

Especially one wey the clutch don burn or the one wey dem just do the clutch and e still dey shaprapra , na so the car go dey off for your hand if you wan engage gear move.

Who de go driving school again, we just look how u handled the gear n steering with pipipi, by the time one of our parent car is free we just hijack key de work on our skills.

If you know how to drive manual transmission cars and love speed.
You will know the difference between manual and auto. You will handle manual cars while auto cars will handle you

I feel your pain but you have made the right decision by choosing to learn manual.
First of all know your 3 pedals CBA
C_Clutch: This is the pedal at the far left and is required when changing gear.
B_Brake: This is the pedal at the middle and is used to stop movement.
A_Accelerator(throttle): This pedal is at the far right and is used to increase speed.
Note: a car would move on a level ground without you pressing the accelerator(throttle) if you do the right thing.

Me way just enter my papa car (504) back in the 90s, just simple instructions I was moving the car already.

I started warming my dad's car at the age of 7. By 9 I was driving it confidently with pillow on the seat.

Till today, no driving school.

Same with me ooo. I bought a car when I didn't even know how to drive.

I was nervous so I went on YouTube to watch several driving lessons, that really boosted my confidence.

I also downloaded several driving simulator games in my phone, Dr SUD driving game really helped me.

By the time I got possession of the car, on Sundays id put L and practice round my street alone. I was comfortable driving in street.

The car I bought it for uber biz so I gave it out to a driver. The idiot wasn't maintaining the car and wasn't remitting so one day me and a friend stopped the engine and went to block him.

I collected keys from him and for the first time I drove from Bogije to okoko.

It was a funny but heroic experience..

That was my first day on high way, my first time driving on top bridge and I did it for that long distance with my double pointer on

My friend almost peed on his pants. I drove straight to my mechanic but after somedays when he was done, he called me to come take the car and only me, since the confidence was already there I drove calmly from okoko to iyana ipaja and since then the story changed. I dey fly now for road 😂

When he comot leg for brake to accelerate and the car keep going backward or the engine went off due to clutch inadequacy
