I want to see the bank that would disobey simple court order from supreme court

They would get sued for rejecting legal tender

I feel your pains. Truth is BITTER!
Noisemakers, even your wife will reject it tomorrow. Try buying anything with old notes.

Moreover, Supreme Court lack jurisdiction on matters exclusive to CBN.

I'm amazed at all these easterners who are happily waiting for the February 10 deadline for the old notes to stop being valid despite the supreme court ruling. You can no longer afford 3 square meals per day, can't afford transport, almost all your daily activities are grounded all due to poor policy implementation yet the same politicians you think the policy is targeting are moving around in convoys and jets.

After keep your named after 10th. If the CBN does not take it from the banks, you think the banks will take it from you.

If you like don't be wise and follow El rufai and the other vote buyers.

No mind the urchin. Fly wey no get sense, e dey follow corpse inside grave.

What urchins fail to understand is that the CBN Policy is PMB policy, not Emefiele. The only way to avoid Feb 10 dealine is to impeach or kill Buhari. None of the two is happening.

Why do Yoruba Muslims support anything bad? Whenever something is evil, just trust a Yoruba Muslim to be in support. From endsars massacre to Buhari to vote buying to killings and kidnappings outside Yorubaland. What sort of brain do these people have? Whenever someone is planning evil in the country and against it, one group sure to support that evil is Yoruba Muslims.

You feel banks have money to folow the series of lawsuits that will be filled against them ? The supreme court is the highest court anything it says stands and can only be reversed by the legislature.
The CBN contravene the CBN Act as you can't order bank to not collect old notes when the very act setting you up, mandates you to always collect old notes

The old naira note is still seriously in circulation...court order or not, it'll continue beyond next week! Even when you pay new note, they give you old as change. Until the CBN makes the new available, the scarce old notes will be in circulation! No country has ever succeeded in using currency swap/scarcity to win corruption war.

Okay, on election day carry old junk naira notes to the polling station. The electorates will beat sense out of you. People are quickly changing N5k old notes for N200 new notes, you are here whining and deceiving yourself.

By tomorrow even your wife won't accept it from you.
Set you don see the link to dismiss the nonsense. Wait by next week, you will cry tire.
Even CBN has stop printing new notes, so una go hearam on 25th. Even Lagos is going to LP.
Your tears will be very sweet to savor

Very poor & insensible insinuation from a road side brat.
You don't even know how to modify your comment efficiently that you have to occupies unnecessary space.

I'm not really surprise going by your deficiency in critical thinking & analytic reasoning.
Sit down and ask yourself this simple question: who are the owners of these commercial banks?

I couldn't stop laughing yesterday when El-Rufia made that statement, because its not even an order.

If Kaduna people continues using old currency to trade, will the wholesalers in kaduna use the old currency to restock their warehouses?

Can they take old currency that runs in millions to the bank?

Can they use old currency to buy from another states?

The wholesalers would reject it after deadline, and everybody will start rejecting it.

El-Rufai is a gonner grin

Banks are answerable to the CBN.

If CBN says they should not collect old notes again, not even the president can change that. The best anyone can do is replace the CBN governor and put in their puppet.
