The Bais Nature Of Nigerian Politics by TheGoodmanCaleb(op): 2:32am On Feb 09, 2023
From what I have been seeing on nairaland,my interview with a lot of people on social media and in person,I came to discover why Nigeria and Africa are still where they are today.
From a clearer perspective,I would like to state that
the main causes of the misfortune we have in this nation is
1) The Citizens, Then the government follows.
I'm in no way trying to talk down any presidential candidate, neither am I in full support of any candidate.
First of all,I would like to say we all listened to the speeches our presidential candidates did dish out to us,and on so many occasions one of them always speak in a way we don't understand, and quite so many people think it's right to make such person a president of a nation like Nigeria with a lot of sane and educated people says a lot. Imagine he becomes our president and then maybe visiting the White House he can't coordinate his speeches, what would the world think about us,they are gonna say his dumb, call him names, and we the citizens will have to pay with our dignity. What makes you think a man who can't coordinate a sentence would make a positive impact in this nation. I'm in no way trying to talk down anybody but I absolutely think majority of Nigerians are sane and can express themselves well without having to say what their not supposed to say.
I think we all should not vote a Yoruba man because we are Yuroba's. I believe we should not vote an Igbo man because we feel he's from the south and an Igbo man has not been president. I think we should not vote a Housa man because we believe we own the seat of power and if our brother is there,he might do us great favour.
When our current president was about been elected into power, most of us from the north wey chanting "sai baba" because he belongs to us,now we all face hardship while he's somewhere chilling his ass off with billions of dollars waiting for his retirement,so many lives lost, and we still think going the same way will do us good? No.
Do not just think about yourself, think about your country,if you don't care about your neighbor, care about the innocent unborn children at least. THINK.

Well said but you know the reality is ...most Nigerians are tribalistic and nepotistic by design. They only care about themselves first and exude the I better pass my neighbor mentality. . they are an unpatriotic bunch who only praise what ever benefits them and puts down whatever doesn't... Eg RENO. Who speak from 3 sides of his mouth

Nigerians are the problem of Nigeria ... The politicians are only like vultures, they see the opportunity to profit off the backs of greedy narrow minded people ... And that is why they prefer to pillage the national coffers than to build a single road.

It is a symbiotic relationship.
