Ekweremadu and his peril, I hope other political leaders and buffoons who feel insulated from such humbling experience will learn a thing or two.
No. They will never learn.

Instances:

A former president's wife died outside due to complications owing to surgery. Do we have medicals facilities here? Yes.

A sitting president's son was flown abroad due to accident. Do we have medical facilities here? Yes.

Should I continue?

The uncommon man from SS was flown abroad after touting his uncommon medical facility. His colleagues visited only to meet his absence. Have they learned? No.

A sitting president travels every now and then for check ups. Do we have medical facilities here? Yes.

As long as you're a Nigerian politician, you don't deserve pity.

Even if he's innocent, he should be punished as part of an atonement for the damages he contributed to this country.

Lying under oath is a crime in the court of law. The Ekweremadus should say the truth and shame the devil.
They dare not. If they say the truth they'd go to jail!

Baba, just leave it abeg!

This Ekweremadu issue dey vex me to my marrow. Not because I feel any iota of sympathy for him, but because his kind kept this country in the state it is in today.

He deserves a death sentence. Maybe that's the only way our politicians will learn the requisite lessons and make the needed adjustments.

ADX Florence should be higher than Alcatraz. And he should be waterboarded twice a day.

How can one be so heartless and wicked at the same time? Select one no. He still greedily selected two forms of evil.

I very much doubt the donor would have acted altruistically. Probably upon discovering he wasn't an ideal match, they probably left him empty handed. Leaving the UK empty handed for the poverty stricken Nigeria might have been too much for the donor and hence the present imbroglio.

I feel if Ekweremadu had settled the donor well after the disappointing medicals, the story today might be different.

In Nigeria here everyone is each other's keeper,so kidney donation is a common thing and not rear as in the UK.

At least help the boy. What more can one ask for? What more? angry huh

Western courts do not use emotion to judge a case.

The prosecution needs to prove there was financial inducement/ payments. I don't see them proving such

If the donor was a close family member/ or the son of a rich Nigerian, Ekweremadu has a strong ground for defence.....

This is going to be long walk for Mr. Ekweremadu and family. I particularly feel for the young lady who has to deal with the emotional stress and embarrassment despite her ill health.

I pray God grants them the strength to pull through in this trying time.
Of course you’d feel for the rich lady who agreed and accepted to illegally secure an organ but not the poor barely literate boy who’s organ was to be stolen.

Nigerians are bad people but you’re a terrible person.

He was an ideal match, he just wasn't suitable for the surgery. The Doctors sensed something was off.

Once they called off the surgery, they likely started maltreating him already. That's why the boy ran away and he was wandering for 3 days until he came across a police station.

Even if the transplant was successful, they had no intentions of paying him, they didn't even tell him why they bought him to the UK.

But luck is on the boy's side, people that are victims of trafficking don't get deported easily. They may allow him to settle.
