So many reports of Attack on harmless Obidients at Jakande Lekki today, Police will see all this and do nothing because its is APC thugs. They are even intentionally blocking some access road to make it difficult to get to TBS according some report. Make them continue, Lagos is fully Obidient 👍👍👍

I mean all these attacks because of 4 people tweeting in a room and a social media president running on the platform of a structureless party....

I have a strong suspicion they were instrumental in the emergence of the current CJN.

It will be payback time.

PS: I also believe Wike has a hand in the supreme court judgment that affirmed Makinde as the winner of Oyo state election hence the unwavering loyalty to him. Just my wild thoughts cheesy
I seriously doubt he is that influential. Wike power no reach.

Wonder why APC is threatened since they're confident of victory. They didn't even attack Atiku or Kwankwaso like this.

News filtering in from Lagos this morning is really sad to hear.
I pray this will not happen on election day or dissuade people from voting.

When will Nigeria ever get it right??
I'm expecting to hear from some people here sha, let's see what they have to say.

From what I have gathered, this scarcity of new notes is compounded because people are not returning them to the banks. Ideally, cash is supposed to constantly rotate between us the end users and banks but once people collect new notes, it never returns.
If you have 500k of the new notes with you, are you going to deposit it back to the bank, even if you have nothing to do with it now?

With the uncertainty of things, no body would make the mistake of depositing any money when banks are not going to give you back the money incase you need them tomorrow. Every one is careful now.

This is also why the old notes are still in circulation and very much valid in many parts of the country. I am still spending it. And I'm not rejecting it as well. I m yet to meet one person that will reject it. Infact I have upto 30k of the old notes now... I have enough new notes as well but I kept them safe for rainy days.

I dont think people have tried paying their old notes back into the bank..since many bank branches were closed through out this week.

I am not really worried about what will happen to my old notes if they are rendered useless today. I'll count my losses and move on...but if I wan spend everything now, I can easily do that.

Election day should be largely calm, polling units are walkable distances, and how many polling units can Tinubu's army of agberos possibly cover?

If Peter Obi wins Lagos, he won't have won it because of the Igbo's in Lagos, he'd have won it because of the Yoruba's in Lagos who are the overwhelming majority (over 60%) of the states population.

We have so many qualities and characteristics of a good leader. Buhari doesn't have all the qualities, which I have pointed out some already.

Delegation is one characteristics of good leader. Buhari delegated the responsibility of CBN to Emifiele.

Keep twisting narrative, it doesn't concern me.

When emotions is involved in any issue brain fly out of the window.

The only thing some of you can do to me on this thread is insults. You can do more than that.
The job of CBN governor is not a delegated responsibility. Also, from my analysis (I may be wrong) if Buhari had not succumbed to the pressure of the APC governors and extended the deadline against the advice of Emefiele, this crisis would not have arisen.

There is scarcity of cash because Nigerians had deposited 75% of the money in circulation as at 28th January. Everyone was getting ready to deposit their last old notes by 30th and 31st. If this has gone as planned, we wouynot have the current crisis. The 500bn naira new note would have gone round and those who can would have started using transfers for bulk purchases.

I was on the streets this morning and noticed that most sellers were no longer collecting old notes but were still selling because people brought out their new notes.

Meaning that, people have the new notes in their homes but reserved them for when the old notes cease to be legal tender. Any further extension will only make things worse just as Supreme Court (the hopelessness of the common man) is pushing.

Let me use this post to say that there been no institution in Nigeria today that's as useless as the Supreme Court.

That's why the extension was a mistake. The Supreme Court now added confusion to the whole thing by listening to selfish governors
I agree. And the level of compliance before 31st was really high compared to what happened the last couple of days when people deliberately refused to deposit the old notes.

He's a life bencher, a sitting governor and a lawyer himself surrounded by very powerful lawyers.

I do believe he is that influential.

Fair point. What I meant by that is that Emifiele is in charge of CBN. He is the governor.

Which state is that?

Here in Kaduna. Lere Local Government precisely we are still using old cash.

This is one of the strategies Obi has consistently used during this campaign that has proven to be master stroke. Like he did In Abuja, Aba and many other places, he goes out to meet people in the markets and on the streets knowing fully well everyone can't make it to the campaign venue. He's covering more grounds and more people while getting stronger in the streets.

I expect Kaduna to still use old cash. Actually the Supreme Court injunction expires on the 15th of this month, though neither CBN or the FG have made any statement, it's still legal.

Most APC controlled states may want to continue the use of old notes until the SC decides. We wait till 15th.

Yeah. Just like someone said. People are even afraid to take their money to the bank.

They should just come out and be clear on the matter so that people will be cleared on this.
