My own question is it the same FG controlled police they are using to clamp down shops in their states?
So it shows on another note some of the issues with having state police

They should firstly go arrest banks that are rejecting old naira notes because Banks are rejecting it here in lag.
Would you take your old notes to the banks when the same banks will not give you the same number of old notes deposited?
When you remember that emefiele said there is no paper to print new notes ?

Please arrest them all, they can't keep suffering others because they lack knowledge to decipher a common understanding that CBN Messed up big time in bringing up this naira swap policy without proper preparation for abundance of the new notes . Same CBN came out to say they lack materials to continue production, with option of minting our currency abroad.
Those that refuses to accept the oldnotes are simply enemy of the state, they should be arrested for steering the country into chaos.

What a set of kind people
Exactly what I have been saying...!

The issue is personal to them and their ambitions... They are not concerned about the welfare of their citizens.

They should even scrap the 1000 Naira note totally!

With increased electronic transactions, there would less need to carry such high value amounts.

The CBN really failed in this process of currency redesign. How on earth is it difficult to make this new notes available, I just don't understand. How can you want people to stop using old notes when the new notes are not available. Does that even make sense to Emiefele? Here in Lagos, people are spending old notes. Infact as of today, POS vendors are still selling old notes to people. Let CBN and these commercial banks sort their house , so we can move on to the election proper.
Meanwhile anything short of voting for Peter Obi of Labour Party in the coming election is a failure on your side in moving Nigeria forward.

Let each state government start closing down every bank branch that refuses to collect old Naira note from their customers.

SE and some part of SS can continue to suffer themselves in the name of "punishing" Tinubu.
Hate will not allow you move forward with the right set of mindset. Is it just the SE and SS that people have refused to collect the old money? Did that not happen in your region too and else where?

Bigotry will lead you guys to no where.

Cowards. This country is a citadel of cowards. Go after the banks, they’re the ones rejecting old note that’s why traders stop accepting it.

CBN has more than enough New Notes to go round...! They are simply hoarding them at the behest of the Federal government!

Many of you are chasing shadows with this constant attack on CBN... Even Emefiele is not moved one bit! He knows where his instructions come from!

but they denied it that that is not what he meant. Who is fooling who in this country? They are using masses to play politics. U can imagine, when they knew that 80% of Nigerians are dense and greedy due to selfish interest. When they do bad, u will still see how millions of people will be hailing them during campaign. Their oppressors for that matter.

Real cowards!!! Useless citizens chasing shadows while their leaders play chess and feed fat!

The banks are not even at fault TBH! They were instructed to do exactly what they are doing!

The citizens are being made to suffer by the very leaders they elected!

I don't understand Nigeria sometimes sha

So a governor of a state can give a mandate on currency?

What if I wake up tomorrow as a governor and say people must accept buttons as means of payment in my state.

This whole money issue is just too cumbersome abeg.
Governor has executive power which is to enforce law. Supreme Court order must be enforced by all means. CBN will be forced to comply with the law of land as rightly directed by the apex Court.

The other day, a bigotish agbadorian who self-acclaims to be an activist called Peter Obi an opportunist, I had to check about five different dictionaries to see if the word "opportunist" had gotten a new meaning. Now you, a deluded agbadorian urchin, are calling Peter Obi selfish. How dumber can you guys be? Selfishness is to pocket your future while giving you crumbs to feed on. Selfishness is to own every property in lagos while you sleep under the bridge.
If selfishness was a human, Tinubu would be their surname. Can you tell me how Tinubu is worth over $8b just as a two term governor of lagos state?
You will suffer and pass it on to your kids, since hopelessness is a virtue to you guys.
Are you aware that your people are still coming to Lagos till today just because they can't find something meaningful to do your shattered region. If Jagaban can loot Lagos yet Lagos is developing pls let him loot Nigeria all we need is development.

Obi that refuse to loot Anambra has increased Anambra poverty ratio, I don't need statistician as president I need the man with good administrative precedence to make NIGERIA look like Lagos so that I can find job in my state of origin instead of Lagos

You use a phone worth hundreds of thousands to type "Nigerians are suffering", what are you then if not an hypocrite.
The challenge is not about suffering or not . It is about allowing Nigerians to go about their legal activities without encumbrances.

Why have you not been able to spend it? Since you're based in lagos, I see no reason why not. Well, maybe the part of lagos I am is more receptive to collecting old notes.
