I remember how Seun Onigbinde, founder of BudgIT was hounded, criticised and cursed for accepting Buhari's appointment. Even to the extent that he had to eventually reject it.

But Today, we are applauding Abacha's appointment of Obi. Same Abacha? God please.

Well, the same Obi called PDP, a party he was a member of less than 1 year ago a party of criminality.

Last year, I said I was happy with how Atiku was handling Wike/ Rivers by ignoring him. Wike is an attention whor.e and when you starve people like that of the attention, they become upset and erratic.

As it stands, Atiku has evaluated his/ PDP's chances in Rivers and I think he is okay if he doesn't pull the most vote in Rivers State. Consequently, it makes no sense going to Rivers and it has nothing to do with Wike because it is now obvious that Wike himself cannot guarantee any single party bloc votes from Rivers State.

Rivers State is traditionally a PDP State with strongholds in certain areas irrespective of Wike. They have established structures that go deep into the ward levels in those areas. Atiku will utilize these structures to gather as much as he can without expecting to win Rivers State. I think PDP can gather at least 25% of Rivers State without winning it. Asiwaju will also benefit immensely from this fluid state of Rivers State but I don't know about 25%.
I think Atiku going to Rivers will motivate the ground troops working for him, Him not going makes it feel like they are on their own and its a futile effort.

You know as Rivers be, On election day, strongmen start, who will mobilize the PDP guys? Unless he has cut a deal with some creek boys. Anyways, Atikus loss Obi and Asiwajus gain.

Hopefully we can add that to the states where BAT will make the 25% from

Lmao grin

Labour Party will get the most votes

Followed by APC

If PDP even gets 20% of the presidential election, they have exceeded expectations cheesy

Atiku has people working for him in Rivers

He will comfortably do 30% in Rivers.

Wike cannot openly sell BAT, so he goes on Twitter talking about using 200,000 aides and all that.

PDP may not win Rivers, but dem no go lose entirely

Hmm Rivers is the largest voting population in the South behind Lagos (iirc)

PDP throwing in the towel there is not a good thing for them. Who are the politicians on ground that will mobilize for them? Is there any PDP politician on ground in Rivers pushing for Atiku?

Anyway, Good thing for Tinubu, Any state that Atiku fails to win in the South is a positive for APC

Buhari didnt win Rivers but he won Kano, Lagos Kaduna Katsina some of them with landlide >> 60%. which of these is Atiku sure of 50% in? To throw in the towel on Rivers something sinister is going on

Seems Atiku has something else he is backing on, Maybe another INEC or this time BVAS server

That Atiku is so calculated and to quiet that is making me uneasy
Na so e calculate and has been losing elections since. He will lose this one again. I think you might be overestimating him

Crazy stuff, while Peter Obi in 30s took charge of Nigeria's ports and was running it efficiently, BAT in his 50s was on "exile" cooking the books of drug dealers around the world😂😂😂.

On a serious note, Peter Obi needs to be talking a lot more on the things he's been involved in, man's done a lot that he's just keeping on the low.
undecided

.... while Obi was looting the Country dry along with Abacha and stashing the looted funds in Panama, Tinubu was in exile fighting for Democracy alongside Wole Soyinka and Co.

The ground troops understand what is going on in Rivers State. They know this is a different situation for them in Rivers. While Atiku may not be visiting Rivers in person, he is definitely working with leaders of PDP's strong hold in Rivers State. PDP is not going to disappear just like that after decades of building strong structures because of Wike.

Rivers is fluid at this time but it is Obi's to lose.

Which people? Lee Maeba and those expired politicians wey no get any level. Do you know that not a single one of them is contesting for any position? That is how useless they are. You are banking on people that cannot even conduct a campaign rally to deliver 30% of votes for Atiku.

Baba you don't know what is going on. If you openly paste a campaign poster of Atiku, you may not make it out alive. These same people who will attack you are the ones you say understand what is going on.

As I type this, there is not a single poster of Atiku whether small or big I have seen anywhere in portharcourt.

Maybe Skimpledawg and Timbros can come in and tell us if they've have seen any.

Atikus campaign is completely dead here. If he gets 20% of votes, I will be very surprised.

Baba, na una dey ground and I go always defer to una.

With that being said, you are only talking about Port-Harcourt, one LG out of 23 LGs in River State. How about the Riverine areas? You do realize PDP has a strong hold in Rivers State. There are other PDP candidates on the ballot who will fight for the party.

So all the bikes near that Keke park at the Festac side, you interviewed them?

The ones in the middle lane (in-between the bridge), you also interviewed them?

Then the ones on the Satellite side (from where they are selling bread) till Eterna fueling station, you interviewed them too?

grin grin grin grin

Anyways, almost all the routes that they banned bikes, they have all returned. So wetin be the cry?

Well, you're right. My post was largely based on what I'm seeing here in PH but going by the reports of violence against opposition parties in rural areas, it may be worse there.
