Years ago, a member of our team was the site supervisor on a project. A subcontractors worker was cutting corners and trying to play smart and the guy kept countering him. One day he closed from work, the subcontractor followed him, started shouting the guy was a thief. They literally were about to burn this guy when another worker on the site in the vicinity intervened.

If the guy had been burnt to this day some people would be saying he must have been a thief. Social media is full of stories where a debtor or delinquent siccs people in his hood on the person he is owing.

As Nigerians /human beings are fully capable of limitless evil, I have no doubt If I meet some nairalanders in their good they will do the same. That is the glorious blasphemer! The glorious rapist! The glorious thief! The glorious apc supporter!

This is partially what that dark October movie is trying to draw attention to. Our culture of kill and don't bother asking questions later.

That is how police in Lagos go about shamelessly siding with APC and when other none APC supporters take laws into their hands the police suddenly realize it’s their job to maintain law and order .

In the spate of the last 1 month , the following has happened :

1. PDP campaign venue was scattered by Pro-APC thugs in Surulere part of Lagos . The PDP guys regrouped and had their own pro-PDP thugs go after the known pro-APC thugs . This led to them shooting live rounds and what happened ? Lagos state police command declared the pro-PDP thugs wanted for disturbing public peace .

2. PDP supporters were attacked in Ketu, Badagry and Agege areas of the state . The Lagos state police command is still investigating this .

3. Labour party supporters were attacked on their way to Labour Party presidential campaign rally . People had their windshields smashed and sustained varying degrees of injuries all from this attack . The Lagos state police command is still investigating .

4. An audio of a Baale in Gbaja community in Eti osa LGA surfaced on the internet . The Baale made it clear that those who are residing in the community are duty bound to vote APC at the polls . He didn’t stop there , he asked that they take phones to the polling booth , snap pictures of their ballot paper after thumbprinting to confirm they voted APC at the polls . He said it wasn’t negotiable , u either vote APC or live with the consequence of not doing so ( which he mentioned as being evicted from the community) . He specifically stated that the none indigenes voting for any other party amounts to jeopardizing his own future ( whatever that means ). Now all of these things he said in the audio contravenes different sections of the electoral act. Guess what ? The Lagos police command who are to enforce the constitution and provisions of the acts are promising to carry out forensic investigation and look into it. NB: The Baale and his chief whose voice were heard in the video had long been identified o.

This is the current situation of things in the streets and not the whole online bullying u see APC supporters parrot about. This is real life bullying backed with threats of accompanying consequences .
