why some people on nairaland claim they use more than 1tb in a month because they watch football and watch Netflix

those guys who claim that, sometimes, I wonder if they have a server or crypto mining rigs at home

It's possible to do even more if you sit in front of the tv all day binging on Ultra HD shows grin or you're downloading heavy games or 4k HDR movies. Or just having an extra 2 or more people in your household doing the exact same things you're doing with their own devices. It could climb well above 1tb.

Smart home devices could also shoot up your consumption. Like the Google nest doorbell.

You will still have to pay with black market rate or higher when using chipper, kuda e.t.c
Klasha is N751.11
Payday is N753 today, it changes on daily bases.
Chipper is N772 today.
Kudiwave is the cheapest today. For those who are ready to order, attached is a screenshot of their rate at the moment.

Dollar black market rate in Abuja today is between 730-745 Naira.
You will always pay higher if you are using a virtual card....

if its not unlimited, then it's useless! I'd better stick to my 5k-40gb monthly MTN plan. But since yesterday, mtn the fkup. Can't even see that particular plan

Which plan is that? 5k 40gb

Anyone that is using 1000GB of data per month should be glad to pay $43 for it compared to any other competitive price anywhere in the world, not forgetting the speed and accessibility. You don't reap where you didn't sow. You want to make money with 1TB data and you claim $43 is too much to pay. Are you joking?

Lol. I use an unlimited 50mbps fiber in my home, and I've never gone past 1TB in a month. I stream everything: YouTube 4k, Netflix 4k, Amazon prime 4k, IPTV in 4k, DSTV , etc. But I live alone, so I can imagine having other family members connected potentially driving that usage way up.

Sorry, i have to come in here. And your name is FRUGAL! I must be hopelessly wretched then. I'm drowning in guilt for 45GB mtn subscription which i don't even exhaust monthly.

Oh well undecided. Once you go unlimited, there's no going back. The possibilities are, well, unlimited cool

The reason for the cap is to ensure it remains a residential plan. No matter how many devices or how heavy you use it, one house can never exceed the 1TB threshold in a month.

But if you considered it well, 32k for 1000gb (1tb) is better than 5k for 40gb.

I agree. My office is currently using vdt's 1TB monthly plan (they advertise it as "unlimited" ) for 25k and despite the indiscriminate usage by staff and visitors it is never exhausted in one month.

Starlink is obviously not for everyone as it is today. I've already placed an order, should be shipped within the next few days.

By the way, you don't have to go source for dollars. There are various virtual dollar debit card providers like Klasha, Chipper, Kuda, Kudiwave, Payday and so on.
I used Klasha to order for mine.

Don't fail to update us on the service once you begin use am

First of all, download any of those apps I mentioned earlier. Then register on the app and provide all the info that is needed to get verified, like BVN, vNIN or NIN, evidence of address, etc.

Once you get verified, you can then create a virtual dollar Mastercard or Visa, depending on the one available on the app.

In terms of exchange rate, Klasha seem to have the best exchange rate for now, with N751.11 to a dollar. Payday is N753 to a dollar today.

Is there a limit to what you can purchase? Can you buy something worth 1,000 dollars?
