When looking for goals, I don't think it's necessary to drop either Saka or Martinelli. We just need to remove either Xhaka or Zinchenko Ystdy. But if Partey is present, remove Xhaka and play Zinny as one of the AMs

Ramsdale
White Saliba Gabriel

Partey (yesterday— Xhaka or Zinchenko)

Saka Odegaard Viera(or Zinny) Trossard (or Martinelli)

Nketiah Martinelli (or Trossard).

If we'd done this, we'll have more attackers (and bodies) in their box. Partey(or Zinchenko Ystdy) have the skillset to screen the defence and stop any potential counter attack while the back 3 aren't slouches in terms of brains and brawns too.

Like for like subs and formation will limit us
3-1-4-2

Is a highly attacking formation that will leave us empty at the back.

What we played during preseason was more like exposing players to alternate roles.

Here's my suggestion

................ Ramsdale..................
White.. Saliba.. Gabriel.. Zinny
................... Partey.....................
Saka.........Odegaard.......... Marti
......... Nketiah...... Jesus...............

During attacking phase, Zinny inverts into midfield as usual to add more bodies, Jesus can equally drop deep, while we still have Nketiah upfront.

Well, if we're looking for goals around that 60-70+ min and we're dominating, I don't think the 3142 will expose us more because the opponent would want to defend with their lives for either a draw or to maintain their lead.

But then, even your formation isn't bad too. The goal is just for Arteta to switch it up when we're looking for goals as the like for like subs is getting found out

If Arteta had used this against Everton we would have scored.

Lol... That has been my point since. I didn't mean we should start using 3142 formation. It's just a plan B ONLY in case we need a winning goal or to get back an equaliser

I cool endorse this formation as a plan against low blocks

The PGMOL have confirmed that (The Idiot) Video Assistant Referee Lee Mason, responsible for allowing Brentford’s offside equaliser against Arsenal, has departed the organisation by mutual consent.

See I hate things like this. That idiot cost us points and would just go on with his life while we suffer the pains of his decision. How on earth do you forget to check? Isn’t that the first thing VAR confirms after a goal? I wish we are able to sue him.

What will you sue him for? And it won't bring back the 3 points. If you want to sue anybody it should be the Premier League and PGMOL who keep appointing useless referees and have not done enough to improve the standard of refereeing. They need to do more in terms of training and oversight of referees.

Lee Mason for one has been a trash referee for years. Incredibly incompetent, unsure of himself and depends a lot on guesswork. They should be able to import and appoint referees from outside the UK, as long as they are the best and can communicate in English. Afterall players, coaches, and even football executives move to the league based on their ability and track record as professionals. Limiting the talent pool to only British referees is diluting the product.

You have made some excellent points regarding the state of officiating in the EPL. Officiating in the EPL has been on a gradual decline for a very long time now and VAR has only exacerbated the obvious. In comparison to the 5 major league, the EPL struggles the most with the application of the VAR.

I like your idea of importing referees, it will increase competition and the quality of officiating. However, I am worried that idea will grossly weaken the other leagues across Europe and rear it's ugly head during the UCL as you will have a very limited pool to draw from. Overtime, it may become overtly monetized like we have with players, coaches and football executives which may ruin the integrity of the game. Only 2 British referees made the top 14 ranking of referees, the rest are non-British.

The EPL/ PGMOL/ FA should start by expanding its reach to minority British Citizens. How is it possible that out of the 200 referees who officiate in the top 7 leagues in England only 4 are minorities? I think they should start from within because the opportunities are out there. I mean, how is it possible that we have not had a black referee in the EPL since Uriah Rennie retired in 2008?

They have already, I read about a female refugee who is now a referee but I don't know if she's start officiating wsl

it was already official since Man city that he'll miss both Man city and Aston Villa games. So it's not surprising

It's just to hope he'll be ready by Leicester game

Airma.rk abi FB.S once said that Jorginho can't warm bench. That if he sees he'll warm bench, his otem will make either of Xhaka or Partey to get injury. That we shouldn't be surprised if it happens

Lol... Na to deh pray make we just get 3points.

If we can get the 3 points with Lokonga earlier this season, then Jorginho should also help in giving us 3points against their physical Midfield wink

There's nothing physical about that Aston Villa midfield I dey see o. If u are talking physical, talk about dem Everton with Decoure, Onana,Idirissa Gueye.

No be Douglas Luis, Kamara and Co

What does this mean? I'm guessing if we lose or draw u will come back and say u told me their midfield was physical but I didn't listen.

The fact is those players in Aston Villa cannot be termed physical compared to the teams we've played against in the past.

I am saying we can't dominate any team in midfield without partey
And midfield have been winning us matches because of total domination

Trossard needs to start and Martinelli needs a breather. Hopefully, we'll see ESR on the bench today

Tomi have closed his chance to usurp Ben White in that RB role. I'm not sure he'll have another opportunity this season again to start when Ben White is fit

That match was the match in which city had the lowest possession under Pep Guardiola. Even Jack Graelish who scored against us agreed we were the best team at the post match interview.

E come be like u get Ur own definition of dominating a team o
