We criticized and complained for 8 years. We stood against Buhari even with your towering media influence.

A few months to go, you run to camp at the 18-yard box, waiting to latch on opportunistically to our goal-bound shots of opposing misrule to score and take all the glory while you rewrite history in coming years that you stood against Buhati in his years of misrule. This is note even about what is happening now; It's about what has happened in the past. A whole lot of shiiiits has happened in this country and some of us who complained about it were called wailers. The people u see attacking Buhari's faction of APC today will go to any length to compare apples to arranges. They will be bringing examples that don't make sense to justify Buhari's actions and inactions.

I pointed out a post here few days ago in which Femi Adeshina told a citizen who called-in to the programme that he was sounding like a broken record. He further said people think because they voted or didn't vote in Buhari they can order him around. Like he normalized the idea of I DONT GIVE A F*CK attitude of the president in a democarcy. No party faithful called Buahri out for that.

Now his incompetence is affecting all and sundry and we have Gov El-Rufai, Gov Badaru, Gov Ganduje and as at this morning we have Gov Sanwoolu appearing like knight in shinning armour. They are the defenders of the affected masses. The same Sanwoolu that took post-ENDSARS destruction pishures to Buhari and the man laughed at his face

Supreme Court has power to declare a presidential order null and void if it goes against the constitution. That's what Rufai is following.

The supreme court knows that's why they suspended his order. If he didn't do anything that goes against the constitution the order wouldn't have been suspended.

What Supreme court did was to issue a restraining order to all parties pending when the matter will be heard. for now the past two sittings of the court has only been about the initial 3 governors instituting a suit in a court they believe had jurisdiction(But the AGF and the FG by extension believes do not have jurisdiction).

The CBN is governed by the CBN act as of today and by the power of that act they've instructed banks not to receive old N1000 and N500 notes. Whether Supreme court will decide in favor of CBN/FG or the Governors remains to be seen . For now the nation is on autopilot.

Well said. I hope some people here don't believe the president is actually above the constitution and can just give orders anyhow he likes. All the powers of the President are from and provided for by the constitution which is guarded by the supreme court. The issue here is a constitutional one , which only the Supreme Court can pass judgement. It has to decide if the President acted within the powers conferred on him by the constitution and laws.
The supreme court's authority should be guarded before any President destroy it for his own personal interest.

These protests we're seeing are staged, can't imagine people being so determined to buy the elections that they'd rather the country burns than not get their way.

Even the one in Benin I hear there were "protesters" coming in to the city centre packed in buses, and that's why the governor was quick to point fingers at Oshiomhole for orchestrating the protests.

Cbn is still an agency of the federal government. The parties that went to the supreme Court believes that a provision of the constitution has been breached by the federal government and it's left for the supreme court to decide if it's true or not. Buhari is the one not obeying the supreme court order here not Rufai.

Politicians can always do transfer for any transactions they want to do, yes they need the notes to buy votes but they are still rich regardless of whether they have #10billion new note at home. My point is if they don't deposit the stashed billions of old note at home to CBN before deadline, they would be that billion of naira poorer cos the notes will no longer be legal tender. Nobody want to loss #22billion naira just like that, whether they already have new notes or not...

Stay safe it is better to be alive than to be sorry, dont join any meaningless protests, if the route you normally ply is caught up in the mess avoid it and choose an alternative. May God guide our leaders and citizens to do the right thing.
