thesicilian: His supporters are the reason he will lose, they are the reason millions on the street who actually vote have changed their mind about obi , when initially they thought him better than the remaining candidates. Simple deduction if obi has suddenly become their saint after all his years in pdp and anambra as gov.. and all has been forgiven, how come atiku or tinubu cant become the same saint?? Real election is won in the creeks of any state not online or in posh hotels and mansions.. apc agents are on the streets day and night using majority of obi's supporters disgusting behaviour to sway people, add that to the monetary gains, then you will u.stand why jonathan lost. Yet no single obi agents are on the streets swaying people back.. 1 Like |

Kperogi has made a cogent analysis. Most people who claim to support Obi are doing so to sound politically unbiased... Deep down, they will vote for candidates based on ethnic sentiments. Also, the voting demographic of PO indicates that those between the ages of 21 to 35 (young to early middle aged adults) who are, moderately to heavily social media inclined, form the core of his support base & therein lies the problem with PO's popularity. Most of PO's supporters will not bother coming out to vote on election day. They find the whole voting 'process' too stressful & an activity for thugs & hungry folks. They would rather stay indoors & 'vote' on social media. If this identified demograph were to actually turn up to vote, or mobile/internet voting was in operation, PO will win by a landslide. 1 Like |

So Tilumbu is now the only one the policy will ”scuttle” abi? How about other contestants? The moment we realize that vote buying isnt in any way beneficial to the masses then we will know that we are indeed ready for liberation. How can someone offer me money so I can help him get to a post and that post means he's going to be in charge of our finances, definitely he will want to recoup his investment first before any other thing. If the policy is only affecting Tilumbu then that means so much skeletons in his cupboard. |

The analysis are in very much order, Atiku Abubakar stand to gain more from this brohaha, same way as Peter Obi but I doubt Peter Obi has the numbers to win the presidency, Peter Obi is not known down here in the North ( NIGER STATE it only very few of us that have access to the internet, and few minority tribes Igbo's and South South folks) |

thesicilian: whether we amaze you or not is not our business, what should amaze you now is the fact that Tifnubu the old drugee criminal will lose this election period. the reason for the naira swap is to stop him from inducing the voters with ill gotten wealth, Hell roof eye can cry till thy kingdom come, nothing will change, they should get ready to rot i prison because a lot of them is going down after this election and they know. |

That's how civilize people does it seemlessly. Asiwaju will reverse this policy immediately. Vote for Asiwaju, vote for APC. Don't let the Cabal confused you. Lol, this guy called Kperogi is simply closet Atiku supporter. Although he has tried to hide his true feelings by trying to be objective but any smart person can see through him. The more we get closer to the election, the more he writes 1 million and 1 reasons why Atiku will win. Nigerians shouldn't be fooled by this biased article with zero objectivity. He keeps elaborating on areas he feels Atiku has advantage while playing down on areas Obi obviously has advantage. Kperogi should go and sit down, he has shown he is as corrupt as and dishonest as the average Nigerian politician. |

The fact you people are calling this a "cogent analysis" is only further proof that if Obi should win, he really needs to invest in adult education. While this "analysis" by Kperogi may end up being correct and Atiku will be the victor, it doesn't change the fact that what he just wrote now is fiction. Kperogi provided absolutely zero data to back up and support his claims. His analysis is a series of personal opinions that reveal what he thinks will happen based on his perceived notions of the current election landscape and historical trends in past elections, even though we can all see this election is unlike any we have had in Nigeria before. If every single poll is saying Obi is in the lead, you need to at least explain why the methodology they used is flawed and show us why that data should be ignored. Saying "they are ignoring social desirability bias" isn't a good enough counter-argument, especially when several polls, such as Stears, spoke in length about the silent voter and how a significant proportion of those voters will favor Tinubu. He also provides zero evidence of why there has to be a social desirability bias present in these polls, simply assuming that because Obi is popular among Southerners and Christians, there must be a significant number of Southerners and Christians who oppose him and are simply afraid to say they support Tinubu and Atiku. Note that Kperogi does not believe the inverse is applicable—that Northern Muslims will say they support Tinubu/Atiku even though they will actually vote for Obi. Funnily enough, he also asserts that Muslims (I'm also assuming core Muslim Northerners are among this group) will say they support Obi in polls in order to look good and progressive, even if all the data presented in these polls reveals Obi has extremely low popularity among Muslims across the country. Lastly, Kperogi also makes funny claims about Atiku's support among Northern Christians. His argument can be reduced to: "Atiku is seen as a progressive Muslim, he hasn't harmed Christians in any way (are we just to forget this is the same man who deleted a tweet condemning a religiously bigoted killing in order to maintain his appeal to a religiously fanatical base?), and because Northern Christians are Northerners, they will overwhelmingly support their Northern brother Atiku." Completely ignoring the fact Obi is eating into the bloc of Northern Christian votes. Regardless of the election result, I think this election has shown me most of these "political analysts" are complicit in the bad governance we have in this country—their only focus is on ego, fulfilling personal biases, and looking "objective", even if their analysis is not in alignment with reality and changing political landscapes. 1 Like |

thesicilian: A write up where the "analyst" provides no data for his claims, and makes numerous assumptions without justifying them, can't be considered to be a "brilliant" or "unbiased" writeup. Wahala dey because if this is considered to be "unbiased", education has really failed in our country |
